The top case with moulded cornice and with stop-reeded, canted corners terminating in lamb's tongue at bottom, below stops. The pulls matching with original positions. English Mahogany Georgian Chippendale Knee Hole Desk, Ca. 1790, 31" high, 33" wide, 17" deep, molded top above the pull out board with two(2) small brass drop handle, one(1) long drawer on top above six(6) small drawers on both sides, one(1) pull out small drawer with shaped apron in the center above one(1) blind door cupboard between six(6) drawers, whole desk is supported by four(4) bracket feet. The lining is Oak, dovetailed inside the drawers...

Exceptional George III Serpentine Chest of Drawers or Commode in the French Manner having a moulded edge serpentine top with overhanging sides above two over three conforming drawers, rounded front corners and bold bracket feet. The drawer sides and bottoms are mahogany which is unusual since it was the most expensive wood during the 18th Century. Brass pulls may be original, escutcheons replaced...

Fine George III Octagonal Cellarette or Wine Cooler in mahogany with brass banding, having a hinged lid opening to a tin liner, slightly tapered body with brass carrying handles and the original stand with four champfered legs. English, circa 1780.

Originally used in the dining room to hold wine brought up from the cellar for the meal, the tin liner would have protected the wood from the condensation from the bottles. Now often used as an occasional or end table...

Plate in cast bronze, hot gilded with mercury, representing an antique chariot drawn by 2 horses guided by a female Greek deity. The chariot flies in the clouds and in front of the horses a child pours water from his watering can. The quality is exceptional, designs of sublime elegance, perfect casting, excellent carving and finitions a very thick mercury gilding. We see on the back of the plaque the remains of two prominent iron fixings...

A German, domed top chest with ornamental hand wrought iron hardware, heavily oxidized and worn original surface and paint, and marked in white “T Adam Schuch reifst nach New York”. The chest looks like 17th century work. The name and destination likely added in the 18th century upon immigration. Reasonably good decoration considering the history. Length, 35 inches. Height, 17 1/2 inches. Depth, 18 1/2 to 19 inches (varying due to movement of the wood at the joinings).

A rare and unusually large souvenir piece of wood cut from a beam from the painted chamber which was one of the oldest parts of the original Palace of Westminster, destroyed by the Great Fire of 1834...

This is a lovely revolving bookcase, circa 1910. It is mahogany, with a shell style inlay on the top. There are two shelves on each of the four sides. The bookcase itself measures 31" high x 19" deep.

Beautiful oak S roll top desk in great original condition. Made by and signed by Moon Desk Co., Muskgon, Michigan, this lovely desk measures 51" tall x 48" wide x 33" deep. The bottom drawer on the right side pulls out and then turns to reveal deep shelves for files. The inside of the desk has compartments for letters and other items, with a place for pencils also. We've had many roll top desks, but never one just like this one. Its definitely special

A William and Mary Style Walnut Fall (drop) Front Bureau or Desk. With Arabesque or Seaweed Marquetry Inlay, Fitted interior, Spiral Turned Legs Barleycorn), Bun Feet, Shaped Stretcher and Brass Drop Handles. American, from the early 1900's. Full period details. Dimensions; 21" wide, 37.75" high, 13.75" deep (24.5" with desk opened). Small nick on back of rear right leg (visible in picture) and some wear on the stretcher, otherwise in very good condition.

Made in Rockville, Illinois, this is probably the best dining room set we've ever had. It consists of a rare zebra wood top table, two arm chairs, four side chairs, large server, small buffet and closed china cabinet with fabulous inlay. The table, which has a drawer in one end, measures 68" long x 48" wide x 32" tall. It has two 12" leaves, both with aprons, making it 92" long when fully extended. It has flowered inlay in all corners, with inlay trim around the aprons...

An antique Chinese export desk made of a hardwood and hand carved with dragons. Stylized egg and dart pattern along the edge. Cabriolet legs of dragons with each three toe claw holding a Hoju (sacred jewel). Skirt and fence also decorated with dragons.

From our European Collection, a charming Rococo sofa, early 20th century circa 1900-1920, probably French, executed with lovely curvilinear lines true to the style, with hand-carved shell-shaped and floral motifs executed into the wood frame, and finished with an elegant but understated two-tone gold on gold damask fabric. The fabric is not original, but is quite likely a re-upholstery job from the 1950's or so, and has survived wonderfully since then...

Beautiful set of twelve mahogany side chairs, all professionally reconditioned. Victorian rococo style, circa 1920. Measure 39" tall x 18" wide x 16" deep. So very hard to find a set of twelve chairs, and these are truly lovely.
