From our European Collection, a fine pair of Louis XVI style giltwood fauteuils a la reine (Queen's Armchairs), last quarter 19th century circa 1875-1895, constructed with a banded upholstered back surmounted by a carved and gilded laurel wreath above a guilloche (braided interlaced ribbon) banding, flanked on both sides by turret motif finials continuing to outset arms on reeded baluster supports, all above a newly upholstered in red fabric shaped seat, raised on tapering legs...
This absolutely beautiful set of American carved mahogany chairs is top of the line. They are Chippendale in style, circa 1900. There are acanthus leaves on the knees and ball and claw feet. The two armchairs measure 39" tall x 25 1/2" wide, and the six side chairs measure 39" tall x 22" wide.

Offered is this two-stacking-table set made by Emile Galle around 1890. Both tables, made of fruit-wood, are marquetry-decorated with typical art nouveau motif. The larger table is 25 inches (64 cm) long, 18 3/4 inches (48 cm) tall and 12 1/4 inches (31 cm) wide. The smaller table is 21 1/8 inches (54 cm) long, 16 1/2 inches (42 cm) high and also around 12 1/4 inches wide. For their age, both tables are in good to very good condition - there is age-appropriate wear to them...

This piece features a three-quarter gallery with a red velvet lined interior (original interior), and inset on the top with a lovely piece of reddish brown marble (also original), nicely veined with whitish / cream colored striations...
A rare antique Japanese Kusuri Tansu (pharmacy or medicine chest) made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron Warabite handles. Original drawer labels left intact. 20 drawers total. Great chest for filing papers and documents. Unusually wide drawers compared to the ubiquitous tiny drawers of the typical Kusuri Tansu.

A pair of antique Chinese Horseshoe chairs made of solid Zitan wood. They each feature a 3 section S-curve back splat with floating panel seats and a front that has an apron with a cloud motif and a foot stretcher. The back splat has symbol carvings related to the boar.

An antique Japanese 2 section Nagoya Mizuya Tansu (kitchen chest) made of Hinoki (Cypress) wood. Cast iron hardware including the Warabite handles. Upper half features 2 pairs of sliding doors and a set of three side by side drawers. Lower half has 2 sliding doors with 2 side by side drawers. The shallow design would accommodate the narrowest of hallways.
