A fine Georgian mahogany rectangular tea caddy with bail handle and diamond shaped lock escutcheon. The interior is fitted with 2 compartments for holding tea, and a center receptacle for the cut glass mixing bowl which we deem to be of the period. Gold accents which we do not believe are inlays decorate the edges of the ivory knop lids. Condition is very good meaning that the wood has occasional blemishes, and the interior lining appears to be later than original, though still old...

Jerome's & Darrow Federal manner hand made shelf clock with wood works, Bristol CT. Provenance, Martin VanBuren Back, 1835-1920 (may already have been in the family for a generation.) We purchased from his direct descendant, David N. Back in the 1990s. We had the clock last serviced in 2006 and in good running order with reliable chimes. An unusual and dramatic firescreen abattant. It reminds me of some of the smaller, New York classical parlor furniture I've seen in Southern house tours with late Federal drawing and music rooms furnished with pieces imported by successful merchants - almost, but not quite, over the top in their design yet direct in their function. So an argument could be made for high, New York city style. And the inlaid oval in the center, with pie crimped edge, is reminiscent of some New England work...

Federal Mahogany swell front chest of drawers. Yellow pine and poplar secondary woods. Maryland, probably Baltimore, 1790 to 1810. This chest is similar in ways to an example in "Furniture in Maryland, 1740-1940", Weidman, 1984, item #77, page 123. On both, the top conforms to the bow front case, projecting a bit beyond the case. And both have nicely formed French feet, inlaid banding on the drawers and above the skirt, and inlaid chevrons centering the escutcheons...

Antique Chinese pair of beautiful rosewood cabinets that have been skillfully carved with the image of two mirrored dragons surrounded by smoke motifs on the front doors, lucky bats holding strands of coins with auspicious characters on the sides, and also the Shou symbol between two bats along the bottom panel which doubles as a large drawer. 18th Century Irish or English Mahogany oval shape Cross Banded tilt top Breakfast Table, 30" high, 51" x 42" wide, with Coromandel wood Cross Banded around the rounded edge, standing on the Pedestal with Cabriole Queen Anne legs with caster on the bottom. There are some dark small spots on the table top with age and useage, some wears on the edge but very solid and heavy table.

Neo-Classical period Continental Biedermeier leather top Writing table with two(2) drawers, circa 1830, possibly Austrian, 28" high, 38" wide, 20" deep, beautiful Walnut veneer side and drawer front, secondary wood is Oak inside dovetailed drawers, supported by simple solid Walnut square tapered legs. New green natural leather top, and some veneer cracks on the corners.

Offered is this two-stacking-table set made by Emile Galle around 1890. Both tables, made of fruit-wood, are marquetry-decorated with typical art nouveau motif. The larger table is 25 inches (64 cm) long, 18 3/4 inches (48 cm) tall and 12 1/4 inches (31 cm) wide. The smaller table is 21 1/8 inches (54 cm) long, 16 1/2 inches (42 cm) high and also around 12 1/4 inches wide. For their age, both tables are in good to very good condition - there is age-appropriate wear to them...

English hand painted Polychrome floral decorated on Satinwood Foot Stool, 8 1/2" high, 14" x 10 3/4" wide on top frame, with tapered Sheraton style leg with more hand painted decoration of broad leaf, and removable seat frame, lift the seat from the frame and change the fabric, the entire foot stool frame is all original. There are some wear and tear on wood.
