DESCRIPTION: A beautiful pair of late 19th century French carved walnut armchairs, with original gros point and petit point upholstery with nail head trim, the backrests with a central scrolling cartouche framing two maidens encircled with flowers. The seats and back are upholstered in dark blue/back fabric over a turned H-shaped stretcher base with a pierced, carved front stretcher, raised on animal paw feet. Very good condition, and the perfect complement to an Old World decor...

Very nice vase made in an elephant tusk with a gold lacquer decoration of a shishi (mythical lion) holding in its paws the wheel of the law or wheel of Dharma. The lacquered decoration of peonies, bamboos and prunus as well as the animal of cranes, birds, hinds and butterflies in a lacustrine landscape surrounds the whole vase in a very elegant and refined way. The vase, without bottom, is glued on a wooden base with floral decoration.
DESCRIPTION: A handsome set of six Spanish Renaissance carved walnut and leather dining chairs, 19th c., the rectangular leather backs over rectangular leather seats with large bronze floret tack trim, on square legs joined by stretchers with hand carved circular florets. CONDITION: Condition is consistent with age and use. The wood is in good condition with minor scuffs and nicks. The leather upholstery has some mild cracking and some wear at the edges...

Fine Antique French Napoleon lll Marquetry inlay wooden jewel casket, oak and bovine bone with bronze mounts. the inside with its original cream velvet liner.no losses or damage to the inlay except a tiny spot in the center of the lid though it may be original. The mounts are all intact though some of the attachment nails are missing and the hinge could be mounted stronger it has its hinge nails . A complete intact casket.

Fine Early 19th Century New England area Hepplewhite style Federal sideboard. Mahogany veneer with what appears to be chestnut secondary wood. Exquisite gilt brass rosette pulls, notched cross banding inlay, reeded columns with turned legs, and a unique & quite large bin like center drawer flanked by a cabinet door to the left and a large drawer to the right, as well as 3 standard drawers. An exceptional and timeless sideboard, in traditional early American taste.
36" wide, 22" deep, 32" high, PA/NJ origin with great small scale original ogee bracket feet and drop panel. Brass hardware replaced.
