This early ice cream scoop has been professionally cleaned and polished. The rare conical shaped scoop is nickel plated. The wooden grip is attached to a polished brass handle and release mechanism. The mechanism works very well. This # 33 scoop was made by the Gilchrists' Co., in New Jersey. It dates circa 1914. The scoop diameter is 3 inches and the length is 10 1/2 inche. Very fine condition with one extremely tiny ding on the scoop.

These C1650--1700 eating utensils were found in 1935 by James A. Hanson near Fort Ligonier, Westmoreland County, PA who donated them to the former Museum of the Fur trade, acquired by Dr. John F. Neil from Glenshaw, PA who sold them to the well-known Charles "Sonny" Atikinson from Mayville, KY who sold to Tom Davis. I purchased from Tom Davis on 7-25-92...
Nothing represents the decadence of the early 1900s better than this wonderfully crafted 14 karat yellow gold bonbon spoon. The handle has an elegantly elongated wreath design and the bowl of the spoon has been decoratively pierced by masterful craftsmen of the period. The length of the spoon is 4 5/8” and the width at the widest part is 1 7/8”.
A great present for the person who has everything! These 18 karat yellow gold Tiffany & Co. sugar tongs are nearly a century old. They can be used as part of a tea or coffee service or delicately place ice into very fancy drinks. The length of the tongs is 4” and the width at the widest part on top is ½”.
