Unusual Black Forest hand carved wooden snail as an inkwell. It still retains its original purple glass insert. Measures 6.5 inches long and 2,5" high. Circa 1900

This handle of this turn-of-the-century walking stick has the figure of a Madonna carved from an unusually large piece of ivory. The handle measures 14-1/4 x 1-2/4 inches and tops an ebony shaft and an ivory tip. Overall length is 36 inches.

Offered is an absolutely fabulous group of early 1900, Merck & Co., amber glass, dispensing pharmacy bottles. Each bottle measures 5.5 inches tall, sports a ground glass stopper and comes with 2 labels. Many of the bottles have contents and are in undamaged condition. Only the "Pepsin" bottle has condition issues - (a big chip at the back side of the mouth not seen from the front when displayed - $15.00)...

Circa. 1900- Delicately carved handle, carved as a Pinocchio-type head with extremely long wood nose, metal collar, exotic ribbed wood shaft with brass ferrule to tip. Sikes Hydrometer by Husbands and Clarke, Bristol, England in its original mahogany box. 19th century. The Sikes Hydrometer was used to determine the alcohol content of spirits in determining its proof. A beautifully carved ivory lion forms the handle for this circa 1900-1910 dress cane. With glass eyes and a menacing snarl, the lion measures 2-1.2 x 1 inches and tops a slender ivory collar, rosewood shaft and ivory tip. Overall length is 36 inches.

Offered is a fabulous, early 1900s, veterinary doctor sign, advertising the practice of a Dr A. A. Bennet. This 18 inch x 11 inch brass sign is a wonderful advertisement piece. The black painted lettering has been cut into the brass sign to give a two dimensional effect.

Veterinary signs of any type are quite scarce! Wonderful patina!
