Rare quality nobori Japanese banner for Boy’s day; beautiful hand-dyed work of the samurais on cotton. The nobori banners were originally used in the battlefields to shift the troops and to show the warriors the location of their generals. The designs on the banners were much simpler then and some were quite large. They must have had a scaring effect on the enemy when
they saw so many flying banners in the sky approaching towards them...

This is a terrific bronze bell from the Khmer culture in ancient Viet Nam or Thailand (circa 1200 AD). It weighs 250 grams and measures 6.8cm across the opening. It shows no signs of repair or restoration. It has a fantastic green/blue patina and there are even remnants of cloth or wood fibers mineralized in the surface.
This is a remarkably well preserved black pottery vessel from the early Khmer culture. It dates to at least 600AD and is possibly much older. It is roughly 19 cm tall. It shows no signs of repair or restoration. There are traces of root fibers on parts of the surface and what looks like calcification on the surface of the base. This is a great opportunity to own a rare piece of Ancient Asia at a terrific price.
This is a very nice pottery vessel from the Ban Chiang culture in ancient Thailand, Udon Province (circa 200 BC). It has very intricate, geometric designs typical of Ban Chiang pieces. The designs are both incised into the clay and then painted. Incised and painted, pedestaled pottery is one of the rarest types. As with most ancient pottery, this piece has been professionally restored from large fragments. It is roughly 18cm tall. Pieces such as this regularly sell for over $1000...
