A Chelsea-Derby dish copying a version of the Ko Imari Kuri-zu Shuronogata dish see EW 2608, decorated in a combination of underglaze cobalt blue and additional enamels. The dishes have a ground foot-ring which is characteristic of the output of the Chelsea factory. Description:

A Yaozhou lotus-bud bowl was in fine look.
It was well decorated on the surface with carved floral motifs.
The surface was spread with minute incursions which were caused by time.
Looking inside, the body clay was revealed with brownish tint which was an obvious characteristic of oxidation from time.

Jin Dynasty, 1115-1234.

Height: 11cm.

It is very rare to find a Yaozhou ware in Lotus-Bud form...

A small thinly potted wine or tea cup delicately painted in shades of underglaze blue with traditional Chinese landscape scenes. The cup is bound with a metal (copper) rim, apparently made to cover a burst glaze bubble. On the base is a four character shop mark which reads "Shun Li Kun Ji".
