A Chinese crackle ware, cream coloured, glazed vase. I would suggest that this vase dates from the Ming dynasty, and certainly no later than the C18th. Dimensions; 12.6 cm tall. Condition; with age related wear, and an old repair to the neck. No overpainting.

Enhanced with red and black painted decoration. Red for the necklaze, the upper arm bracelets and the (decorative lines) around the shins. Remains of black on the hair and the pelvic triangle.

Rare terracotta draped Corinthian column, the details of the capital and the drapery finely modeled.
The motif is uncommon and supposed to bear some funerary significance.
