A rare large inscribed heart scarab, Rameside to Late Kingdom, c. 12th.-6th. century BC.

The heart scarab carved in a redish type of sandstone, glazed with an almost perfectly intact dark green gaze. Made as a somewhat cheaper alternative to the green basalt and hardstone scarabs of the period. Finely inscribed on the base with 7 lines of hieroglyphs, tradionally with passages from the Book of Death, but untranslated by us.

A large and profusely engraved blackstone cylinder seal, Western Mesopotamia / Cappadocia, 2000-1600 BC.

Very interesting with a bird-headed deity seated in front of a fierce winged demon standing on the back of an animal; with multiple creatures, insect-like and other animals on the entire surface.

Size: 26 mm. tall and 17 mm. wide so an impressive seal in hand.

Condition: Extremely fine with some mild corrsoion in parts and fine patina with redish deposits...

An exceptional stamp seal in a fine harder greyish green stone, Anatolia / Northern Syria c. 4th. millenium BC.

The base of the seal is engraved with a fantastic and very graphical depiction of a flock of birds in flight.

A solid substantial Byzantine silver seal ring, early medieval style, 10th.-12th. cent. AD.

These rather solid attractive rings were made from around the 10th.-12th. century, this ring is likely Byzantine to judge from the design of the Bezel. Nice and attractive in the typical lower grade silver. Wearable!

A wonderful and very large late achaemenid / Greco-Persian bronze Patera, c. 4th century B.C.
