A rare and quite attractive set of two knives and a sicle type of cutter (3), knapped in finely patinated Silex, Egyptian stoneage / Neolithic period, 5200 - 4000 BC.

These comes from an old French collection and the two knives with tags in white and black ink giving the finding place to 'Fayoum' and 'Le Fayoum' - a region just south of Cairo, close to the Nile.

A very attractive large Udjat eye amulet, Egyptian, and probably Late period, mid 1st. millenium BC.

The amulet is vcarved in a hard Diorite stone, very beautiful in hand.

Size: 26-27 mm. wide and very thick.

Condition: Choice and as made, the drill went wrong, visible at the back so the artist drilled another hole just beside the first one.

Egyptian head with side lock, probably of Harpokrates, the infant son of Isis and Horus.
The face shows almond shaped eyes, a flattish nose, and slit mouth. The well preserved left ear appears just below the partially present side lock. The neck slightly bent to the figure’s left side.
The head most likely belongs to an ithyphallic limestone figure. For a related example, cf. acc. no. ST58 in the British Museum database.

An ancient Egyptian white steatite scarab, with finely engraved anatomical features such as clypeus, prothorax and elytra. The reverse is detailed with hieroglyphs, including the engraved depiction of a beetle scarab with the sun disk, a basket, a feather of Maat and a papyrus stem. The amulet is pierced longitudinally for suspension.
