Glazed Gnathia ware oinochoe with trefoil spout and arched handle. The body decorated with leaf-sprays suspended from a band with egg pattern and dots.
The intended black color of the vase changed to a warm red-brown due to excessive heat. Standing on a small ring foot.

The lid decorated on both sides with a winged Eros seated on a rock and facing left. One figure holds up a mirror with his right hand, the other carries a dish with double hooks, a sash suspended underneath. Flowers in the field.
One Eros wears a kekryphalos with a bun at rear, the other a pointed cap. Both carry earrings, necklaces, bracelets, strings of beads around the chest, the left thigh and anklet, as well as sandals.
The figures are separated by palmettes...

Rare Daunian vessel with short spout and vertical loop handles. The holes for the strainer pierced from inside the vessel.
The body decorated with bands and wreaths in applied black glaze. Palmettes next to the mouth and handles.
The vessel suffered a blow during the drying phase, which led to shrinkage cracks on the shoulder. The vase was nevertheless fired and remained reserved for cult purposes. Ceramic

Flat-bottomed aryballos with two neatly incised male busts showing big eyes and pointed chins. The hair is tied in a tuft (krobylos) by a fillet and falls gently along the shoulder.
The busts alternate with geese. Rosettes in the field. Radiating strokes on shoulder and rim.
Best parallel for the style is Utrecht Univ. 60, Male sirens facing swan, in: D.A. Amyx, Corinthian Vase-Painting of the Archaic Period (1988), 180:B-7.

Daunian bag-shaped vessel enhanced with a carefully rendered female protome just below the straight rim. The head with large lentoid earrings (?) and a necklace: the hair painted blue, short strokes along the body.
A rounded strainer type spout at rear and a strap handle to the side.
Buff colored vessel with red-brown and dark blue bands, a band of diamonds around the belly.

Rare libation bowl with twelve egg-shaped cavities around the central omphalos. The recesses served to hold votive eggs.
On the inside of the segmented rim twelve neatly modeled youthful heads with Phrygian caps.
Egg-and-dart decoration along the rim, on top and around the base of the omphalos.
The surface is covered with a yellow wash to imitate metal prototypes...

Larger than usual skyphos swelling at the upper third of the wall. The conical lower part tapers towards a torus foot.
The horseshoe-shaped handles attached just below the slightly flared rim.
Resting surface and underside reserved; the bottom with two glazed circles and applied red wash.
The shape is close to Lamboglia forme 43, and Morel type 4343a, p. 308, pl. 129.

An attractive Volute Krater - an amphora like vessel - with Volutes at the top of each handle, with reddish slip, Canusia, Southern Italy, Greek period, c. 4th. century BC.

An elaborate type at an affordable price!

Height 27,4 cm, width with handle, 15,8 cm.

Condition: Very fine for the fragile type. Crack at the top and handles / rim, reattached but the vessel looks nice with original surfaces and greyish-brown patina.

Black-glazed kylix of Ionian shape with a steep bowl and offset rim. The slightly tilted handles attached on the shoulder. The widening foot with flat resting surface.
The outside of the rim and the handle zone are reserved, as well as the small band inside the lip.
The type originates from Eastern Greece and was widely exported and soon enough copied in Athens and Greek South Italy.

Pagenstecher lekythos showing a goose with high swung neck, massive body with distinct wing tips, and detailed feet.
The beak once rendered with white color, faint discoloration of the eye. Above the bird a dot rosette.
Ascending tendrils on the sides, a linear palmette on the back.
The decoration scheme is characteristic for the Sicilian Marianopoli-Gela Group.

Choice grey pottery terracotta oil lamp with profiled ring handle and a discus shaped body, Greek hellenistic, c. 3rd.-1st. century BC.

This lamp was made as an 'imitation' of the metal lamps of the period, but in pottery for the lower classes!

A very beautiful tall figural alabastron in form of Kore, Eastern Greek, Middle of the 6th century BC.

The portrait is in the tradition of the Kore representations, here as a young elegant woman holding a bird in her left hand, red-brown terracotta.

Attic squat lekythos of ovoid body decorated with a net motif in black and crème.
The lekythos belongs to the Attic Bulas Group, which manufactured small vases. As a characteristic of the Bulas Group, the net ornament is applied directly on the clay ground.
The rim and the upper portion of the handle are glazed black; the reserved neck with black lines and vertical tongues in applied white.

Rare handmade askos of lenticular body and truncated conical neck.
The lip around the spout is shaped as an oversized disc. Its back was bent by the potter to create space for an unusual ring handle of square cross-section.
Decorated with orange and purplish black bands alternating with very thin fillets and diamond patterns. The front of the neck with chevrons, one of them spiky, both flanked by a branch or shrub. The base of the belly with elongated triangles.

Apulian plate of shallow floor with a low sloping rim with flattened top. Impression from the foot of another dish on the floor. Standing on a low foot with beveled molding.

Daunian kyathos with wide flat floor and slightly flared rim, the tall strap handle attached at one end.
Decorated (inside and out) with bands and linear patterns in umber and brick red on a buff ground. The floor enhanced with a central flower device.
The floor of vase suffered a shrinkage crack during the drying process. The kyathos was nevertheless fired and reserved for ritual/funerary purposes.

Three bottles with elongated foot, spindle-shaped body, and long cylindrical neck. The buging rim of two of them (foot of one) dipped into brick-brown glaze.
