This is an exquisite piece of history - an arrowhead that was used by the skilled Achaean archers in Ancient Greece. It is made of durable bronze and has a unique V-shaped tanged design known as type VIIIb. An interesting pair of ancient Greek wheel-made pottery lamps in orange clay, dating to 4th-1st cent AD.

Both lamps with a central, conical tube. The concave rim turned inwards and rounded short nozzles with large wick holes. Old collection tags on both pieces

Unguentaria are small ceramic or glass bottles frequently found in burial contexts. Their most common use was probably as a container for oil. A pair of attractive Celtic bronze attachment rings with engraved decor and remains of iron pins. Beautiful turquoise patina!

Length 5,5cm and 6,6cm.

This is a very nice bronze dagger or spear blade from the ancient near East - probably from Northern Iran circa 1200 BC or earlier. It has a thin, flat blade with a reinforced midrib. It has a perforation in the tang which is covered by the patina. It also has some slight bending in the blade which is why I have listed it for such a low price. It does not appear to be damaged or repaired in any other way. It measures roughly 23 cm in length and weighs 84 grams.
