The islamic bronze mirrors were typically made in the Chinese style of the Han Period with added islamic elements. This mirror is large and with a recessed face and undecorated back. Small loss to the handle.

A large and rare tablet stamp seal engraved with a depiction of temple-doors on each side, Levantine, Pre-Canaanite lands, Late 3rd. mill. BC.

The engravings on this nice rectangular seal in white calcite, was interpreted as being temple doors by the former owner, in any case a fine complicated image for the period. Special stone and rare for the culture.

Head of the Buddha shown with solemn expression. The refined facial features with arched eyebrows over heavy lidded eyes and a sensitively modeled mouth with purse lips. The half open eyes with their barely indicated irises confer the head a meditative gaze. The hair is delicately textured with a central bun (usnisha) on top. A large and unusual bifacial stamp seal, Ubaid-Uruk period, Late 5th.-4th. mill. BC.

The seal is round and relatively flat with central piercing and engraved with a symethrical Cruciform pattern on one side and a horned animal on the other side.

Size: c.30 mm. in diameter and 8 mm tall.

Condition: Nice VF, some wear and deposits, but quite attractive.
