A nice pair of ancient Near East Bronze javelins / spear points. Likely Neo-Elamite, dating to around 1200-800 BC.

Commonly called 'Luristani' by dealers and collectors. Both with tangs, prominent central midribs. Both have incised criss cross patterns near the bottom of the blades on ones side.

Size: c. 14 & 15,5 cm - c. 5,5-6 inches.

Condition: Choice with some roughness. Nice patinas & good metal.

A banded agate stone seal, polished to a perfect oval scaraboid shape with a slightly pointed center, Neo-Babylonian, c. 8th-6th. century BC.

The stone with particularly nice patterns of multi-layered bands. On the base it's carved with a worshipping priest standing before the alter of the principal deity Marduk.

Interesting and rare depiction of a woman and three men standing side by side on this slightly oval stamp which is probably a stylized scarab form with curved upperside. Carved in green stone with a faint cross on the back. The seal can probably be dating to the 3rd.-early 2nd. millenium BC.

Size: 22 mm x 20 mm. and 11 mm. tall.

Condition: Nice Very fine.

An attractive scaraboid, carved in a beautiful white stone as a stylized scarab, Neo-Babylonian, c. 8th.-7th. cent. BC,

The scaraboid is carved with Marduk standing before the alter in a nice stylized version.

A very rare and interesting amuletic cylinder seal with top loop, Western Mesopotamia, c. 2200-1600 BC.

The amulet seal is shaped as a tied knot of robe with a loop at the top, engravings on the sides. We have never had such a piece in stock, high unusual!

Size: Substantial - 38 mm. tall and 11 mm. wide.

Condition: Nice VF, intact with deposits and cleaning marks.

Elaborate black stone stamp seal with a round stepped base and a central domed and pierced handle, high quality provincial Hittite work of the mid 2nd. millenium BC.

The base engraved with three different animal, capride deer and perhaps an ibex or a goat (?).

A rectangular stone stamp seal carved in a green stone. The seal is high unusual, since it depicts a whole bunch of people having great fun. They are skillfully done with lines and round heads; it looks like there a couple having sex and other humans applauding it, but it might just be my imagination(?).

A very impressive and decorative bronze lance with a long, bent tang, and a broad, leaf-shaped blade with highly profiled midrib.

A rare and interesting bronze spear butt for a large lance for hand-to-hand combat, probably Median-Achaemenid, c. 7th.-5th. cent. BC.

The use of this fine spearbutt was known all over the Greco-Persian world in the mid 1st. millenium BC. A spear-butt covers the end of a spear that touches the ground and it would have been used as a weapon also in close combat.
