A wonderful massive bronze sword, Lursitan, early 1st. millenium BC.

A rare and much sought after bronze sword with a seperately cast hilt with the finial shaped as a stylized double head of bulls.

The blade with a pronounced midrib.

Condition: Superb for type. Very tight, unrepaired and of a nice sound metal quality.

A fine lamp from the Nishapur area, ca. 9th.-10th century AD.

A pottery oil lamp in the distinctive Nishapur style, glazed in a beautiful, iridescent blue-green. The pinched top bowl, with its narrow spout for a wick, sits atop a long, thin neck over a lower bowl with a slightly raised rim. A thin, strap handle descends from top to bottom.

Bactria culture is the modern archaeological designation of the Bronze Age on the culture of Central Asia, dated approximately 2200-1700 BC. This bowl would probably have a funerary use, since it is made of a material, alabaster, chosen, expensive and difficult to get and work so beautifully. Measurements: 15,6 cm diam.
Conditions: Good condition.

A really nice tanged bronze sword from ancient Near East dating to 2nd mill BC.

Commonly termed 'Luristani' by dealers and collectors, but this is from the Amlash region around the Caspian Sea.

A wonderful blade of exceptional fresh metal with a particularly fine green and red patina. Round shoulders and a prominent central midrib. Note that this piece still retains the rivet in the tang to secure the handle.

A very large ancient bronze dagger, Ancient Near East, ca. 1200-1000 BC.

A typical dagger for the whole Ancient Near East in the late 2nd. millenium BC, these are typically called 'Luristani' but this specimen, would have been made further to the north, around the Caspian Sea area.

The dagger very long with a narrow pointy blade, and an integral handle, made to take inlays of bone or wood, now lost.

Luristan Master of Animals Idol Sceptre Standard Finial

A really nice upper part of a bronze standard depicting the Master of Animals on both sides. This piece comes with an antique custom made box which can also be used as a stand. An old tag with the collection number 345 is attached to the final.

Early Islamic Central Asian, Persian bowl decorated with stylized Arabic calligraphy. Circa 9/10th CE. There is one large stabilized repair and fritting on the glaze. The red clay body was dipped in a white slip with decorative brown glaze- immersed in a final clear glaze to prevent the other colored glazes from running. Fired at a moderate heat.. D: 25cm/9.8in and H: 8cm/3.2in.

A very rare and unusual pottery or terracotta base for a piedestal (ritual) bowl, Ancient Near East, 2nd. millenium BC.

The base of a fantastic pottery bowl with a multitude of animals carved in relief all over the surface. A large bowl so there's so many animals depicted. A couple of Lions are chasing prey with their jaws open and tungues hanging out.
