Ancient Egyptian carved amulet in red stone with finely polished details, Late Period, 26th-30th Dynasty, 664-332 BC

Size: c. 16 mm. wide and 11 mm. tall.

Condition: Good VF, intact with patination.

Provenance: Formerly in the private collection of Eberhard Hanfstaengl (1886-1973). He was a famous German Art director and head of the Berlin National Gallery as well as other higher positions. Educated as Art Historian. Comes with COA.

A beautiful and scarce stone stamp seal, carved in black serpentine with a high handle, Western Asia, Hittite period, 2nd. millenium BC.

Triangular seal plate, engraved with what looks to be a sort of script or symbols, looks almost Egyptian in the style, but we're not certain and it should be researched some more. Finely made knob handle with piercing

Interesting tall stamp seal with a bell-shaped body and large loop, probably ancient Armenian area, Lake Van, 2nd. mill. BC.

The seal engraved with a grit or net pattern in the base and is quite attractive in hand.

A delightful female idol carved from bone. The face is dominated by huge, round eyes and a small nose and mouth. Incised lines form bands around the head, neck, and waist, female genitals outlined.

A nice hemispheric stamp seal of the gable form engraved in the base with a Cruciform design and pierced through, Mesopotamian, Ubad, c. 5th. millenium BC.

A very attractive pottery bowl, in a nice fairly original state for type with caligraphy, Islamic Samenid Dynasty, ca. 9th.-10th. century.

A larger bowl both wide and tall and decorated with wonderful caligraphy in black on cream glaze with red drops added.

A very nice rectangular gable seal engraved with stylized birds (?), Ubaid period of Mesopotamia, 4th. mill BC.

This is a bronze dagger from the Bactrian culture dating to roughly 2000-2500 BC. It is a fine, intact example of ancient bronze weaponry. It measures 173 mm in length and weighs 57 grams. The metal is solid and stable with an "as found" patina. This is a quality weapon at a reasonable price.

A highly interesting and beautiful Redstone (Jasper?) Scaraboid, Levantine / Holyland, 1st. millenium BC.

This seal predates the Greco-Persian period of Scaraboids and was made during the Neo-Assyrian period, ca. 10th.-8th. century BC.

The seal is engraved with a complicated pattern, like multible Swaztikas or perhaps a scetched bird (?). Very sharp and attractive engraving

A very nice assortment of Ancient Near Eastern cylinder seals, Mesopotamia, ca. 2200-1800 BC.

The selection consists of three Old Babylonian and Isin Larsa types with a worshipper before the throne of Ea, along with provincial types. They are carved in different types of hardstones

The largest seal measure 28 mm. and the smallest ca. 15 mm.

Condition: Largest intact group with some wear, the larger seal with chips.

Carved in greyish green stone, quite nice.
