Interesting and massive bronze ring with standing human on the Bezel, Amlash / South Caspian Sea area, c. early 2nd. millenium BC.

An unsually large ring for it's type. Normally these are decorated with applied patterns on a spiral - in this case the ringmaker also found space for a standing human figure with a weapon or a staff in his left hand, likely a mythical figure or a warrior. Lovely red and blue-green patina!

Fine knob handle and a round seal plate. The base engraved with a two animals. Scarce early piece!

Interesting and attractive tanged bronze dagger with large broad blade, North Caspian Sea area, c. 2nd. millenium BC.

The leaf-shaped blade with a broad mid-rib and raised shoulders, short tang.

Size: 29 cm.

Condition: Good Very fine, choice green patina and great metal.

Interesting huge seal from the Oberländer collection. It was described as unidentified and probably ceramic, but to us it looks like Limestone, but we're not certain. At first glance it looks like a Pre-Columbian seal, but details doesn't compute and there were no Pre-Columbian seals in the collection, so it could be from Mesopotamia / Western Asia, we're not certain.

It's sold as guaranteed ancient and 800+ years old.

A lovely seal of hard burnt pottery, depicted the bust of a knight with helmet and chainmail, ca. 7th.-10th. century AD.

Interesting depiction and likely Islamic but could be Byzantine as well.

Condition: Superb for the fragile type with preserved handle at the back.

A fine intact stone wig / seperate hair, BACTRIA-MARGIANA, late 3RD- early 2ND mill B.C.

Separately made hair of brownish chlorite or steatite for the famous composite stone figures which are often missing their wigs / hairs actually!

A particularly well-carved hair with spiral-twisting indicated by grooves. Fine brownish stone.

A fine hardstone cyliner seal, Middle Assyrian Empire, 1363-912 BC.

The seal is carved in a matte-black stone and depicts a hunting scene with the great bending to shoot an arrow against a 4-legged animal, crescent above.

Size: 26-27 mm. tall and 11 mm. thick.

Condition: VF, intact with some wear and fine patination and micro deposits.

Interesting tall stamp seal with a bell-shaped body and large loop, probably ancient Armenian area, Lake Van, 2nd. mill. BC.

The seal engraved with a grit or net pattern in the base and is quite attractive in hand.

A finely carved and poslished square stamp seal, Anatolian / Levantine, c. 2nd.-1st. millenium BC.

Engraved with an archaic style 4-legged animal and probably from the Hittite / Neo-Hittite colonies of the later 2nd. mill. BC. Attractive with elaborately carved handle.

Size: Square, c. 15-16 mm.

Condition: Extremely fine, intact with fine smooth wear and earthern deposits.

Comes with hard impression.

Interesting substantial seal in grey stone with a long round bar handle on top of a rectangular base, Amüng-Ebene at Antioch, Halaf period, probably as early as 6th. millenium BC.

The base engraved with a gritt.
