This is a 2nd Century Roman Glass, hand blown 2nd century AD. It is thick and heavy, unflawed, no chips or cracks, no hairlines, it has a rounded neck and squre body. Unguentaria used to hold poisonous, caustic oils or ointments and were never smooth sided, to prevent the Roman from grabbing the dangerous oil by mistake. It is certainly one of the earliest poison bottles ever made. Measurements: 2 inches tall and 1 wide at its widest point...

This is a third Century Roman Glass, hand blown 3Rd century AD. It is thick, unflawed, no chips or cracks, no hairlines, Measurements: 1 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/4 wide at its widest point. It is simple, beautiful, ancient, and guaranteed authentic.

A substantial upperpart of a casket or chest lock sculptured in bronze as a leaping / attacking Lion with open jaws, Roman, 1st.-3rd. cent. AD.

Very nice antiquity with fine details and a lovely green and red patina.

Size: 6,7 cm. long weighing a solid 81 grams.

A fine and substantial Roman terra sigillata pitcher, probably Nothern Africa, c. 4th. cent. AD.

Attractive vessel in a nice redish colour, low slung discus-shaped type, probably for wine.

Size: 16 cm. tall and 15,5 cm. wide of the fat belly.

Condition: Good Very fine, much preserved red slip and only a few tiny chips to the very rim.

A pair of very rare and historical interesting pottery oillamps, 1st.-2nd. century AD.

1) Oillamp with it's discus decorated with a rearing panther over a Vase, with a three in the background. Very beautiful scene in good style and high relief, single handle. Part of base missing.
2) Oillamp with a very rare decorations of arms and armor! The decoration includes a Roman Cuirass, Battleaxe, different shields, helmet, shield w. spear etc. Loss of handle and holes in the base...

A nicely moulded votive terracotta figure, Roman, early imperial style, c. 1st.-2nd. century AD.

A nice votive, quite detailed, depicting a mature and stately woman with headdress and wearing a dress.

Ancient Etruscan Villanovan Impasto Ware vessel, ca. 8th Century B.C. of Biconical body, standing on a low splayed foot.

DIMENSIONS: Height: 6 cm (2.36 inches). Diameter: 9 cm (3.54 inches)

CONDITION: In its original unclean condition with age patina, the incrustation and mineral deposits, chipped,missing handles ,otherwise intact. No repairs or restorations.

Provenance: Ex-Old Canadian collection.

Lovely terracotta lamp of the Loeschcke VIII and with a fine depiction of Eros holding the arms of Mars, below on the base is an inscription as a mark of the workshop.

Condition: Good Very Fine, completely intact with a little earthern deposits in the devices.
