A Roman free blown cylindrical bottle in turquoise-coloured glass with a wide flat rim, a short neck leading to a relatively long, slightly tapering body and standing on a flat base, slightly inverted in the centre. The whole vessel with patches of iridescence.
Circa 3rd-4th century A.D.
Condition: Complete and intact with patches of darkened surface crust; with light earthy accretions.

Very rare and attractive set of terracotta figures of children, a boy and a girl, Roman Imperial, early 2nd. century AD.
The boy and girl in simple clothing and with bare lower arms and legs, holding a large seashell (dish) and flowers in their hands. The set is very rare and would possible be associated with funeral rituals.

Used for the containment and serving of liquids, similar to a modern decanter, this bottle is free blown from pale green glass. The body is globular with a central indentation on the bottom, a byproduct of the blowing process. The neck is straight and cylindrical before flaring to form a funnel shaped mouth. A sold gold ring with a stepped oval bezel containing a carnelian intaglio depicting a youth. The ring itself is well made with evidence of the original hammering still present around the setting.
