A Romano-Egyptian 'cotton reel' glass unguentarium in thick-cast, mottled, teal-coloured glass. The flask has a wide everted flat rim, with a relatively tall neck, and stands on a flat base.

Circa 1st Century AD

Condition: Very fine condition with areas of light iridescence; minor accretions inside and out.
Height 6.8 cms (2.7 ins)

A Roman silver ring with oval, D-section hoop, widening towards the rounded shoulders. The ring has an ellipsoid bezel with inscription in Latin 'VOT’ i.e. 'a gift for'.

A lovely style intact Roman Jasper intaglio set in an ancient iron fragmentary ring, 1st. - 3rd century A.D.

The ring is massive and of iron and likely a Legionary ring. The large oval intaglio of very good style is carved in finely coloured jasper.

Size: The ring ca. 3 cm. wide, the intaglio ca. 1,4-1,5 mm. wide.

A fine group of ancient pottery oil lamps, Later Roman to Byzantine periods, ca. 3rd.-6th. century AD.

Group consists of a 86 mm. long Roman lamp, 2nd.-3rd. cent. AD, a small round terracotta type, quite rare, 70 mm. long, likely Early Roman (?) and a larger Holyland type, Palestine ca. 6th. century AD. with ribbed corpus (damage to mouth), 95 mm.

Nice ancient jevellery work, the blacelet hammered flat and terminals engraved with details.

Large North African red-ware fragment depicting a leaping panther with detailed head and fearsome paws.
Excellent modeling of the musculature and great coat pattern rendered with small circles. On the other end a hound chasing a sheep or goat.
The fragment belongs to the rim of a lanx, a larger and rather rare rectangular platter. The outer edge is decorated with a beaded pattern.

The collection consists of several medical tools and pins with knob finials, a scarce Roman Iron citizens ring (intaglio lost), a miniature amphora, a massive suspension ring with torquise patina, a very nice roundel fibula and a nice intact fibula, perhaps pre-roman.

Size: Up to 15,8 cm. in lenght, the roundel fibula measure 4 cm. in diameter.

Choice red-ware rim fragment featuring a beautifully detailed lion. The feline approaches with a forward-turned front body. The head with delicate detail and a shaggy mane.
