ROMAN, EMPEROR LICINIUS, 308 - 324 A.D...
Large and well-designed Roman lamp with the planta pedis impressed on the base.
Bailey type G, Deneauve type VG lamp, characterized by bow-shaped lug handles on each side of the body. The concave discus with a central filling hole; the air hole pierced near the nozzle channel.
The outer side with relief decoration towards the nozzle. The flat base marked off by circular grooves...
Elaborate Roman silver ring, 1st.-3rd. cent. AD.
The ring is moulded with a large female bust on the top. She is either a deity or a high-born lady, with a tall draped hairdress and diadem.
Size: about 25 mm. wide. 9.60 grams. The ring-size is c. 19 mm.
Condition: Nice Very fine and intact. stable and Wearable. The surface with corrosion and brown deposits.

A stunning life-size Roman marble male portrait head, 2nd-3rd Century A.D
The head has been skillfully carved by one of the Roman sculpture masters, with head slightly turned to left, distinctive strong features, curly beard and a fine moustache, his hair in thick luscious corkscrew curls brushed backwards in short pointed locks with two distinct locks in the center of the forehead and the nape of his neck...
Carved in a fine glossy green stone, rectangular shape and with a low pierced handle on the back. The seal carved with an elephant in a nice early Roman style of the 1st. century BC.
The style of the Elephant is clearly in family with denarii issued from military mints at the time of Julius Caesar.

A splendid and rare pottery Oli lamp, likely North Africa, 4th. century AD.
The lamp depicts a wonderfully detailed portrait of the Empress Fausta in a central medallion inside a decoration with geomethric and floral symbols - very decorative composition.
Size: 13,3 cm.
Condition: Nearly superb, microscopic closed ding to the spout, but it's intact.
Ex. Old collection, aquired between 1970-1995.

Exquisite roman statuette of Venus Anadyomene represented naked, standing, in contrapposto position, with a slight hip caused by the lifting of the right foot. With her elbows bent, she delicately holds back her hair...
Rare amuletic pendant in the form of a herm with youthful bust to the top. The slender square section pillar shaped body with lugs to the side. A suspension loop to the back.
Herms were used as boundary markers on roads and borders. They were also placed outside houses to ward off harm or evil. In its amuletic form the herm was associated with fertility and good luck.

A truly spectacular example of early Roman glass, being a sea-green bowl of shallow rounded form with a smooth edge and 28 exterior pronounced ribs converging at the bottom. A wheel cut triple band circles the lower flattened section of the bowl.
The diameter at the top rim is 6 1/8", and the height is 1 3/8". The condition of the bowl is superb, with no chips, cracks, or restoration and displaying a wonderful iridescence. I have shown a number of photos below in different lighting and angles...

The bottle with slightly tappering corpus and wide mouth.

Condition: Extremely fine, sound glass vessel of an aubergine-red colour with exceptional irridescence.
