Antique Japanese low tansu made with hinoki (cypress) wood with deep brown original finish. The front has two slatted sliding doors with crossing iron lock plating in the center. Behind each door is an identical set of interior drawers with locks for each one. Simple and very functional. Dates from the Edo Age 18th century.

A very rare and decorative Oil-spot, black-glazed, Song style vase ( Spittoon ) from the Zibo kilns in Shandong ( from around the eighteenth century ). The very rare and highly admired Song Dynasty Jian ware Temmoku- resp. oil-spot glazed pieces were the model for this vase. H : 10,4 cm. Diameter : 10,3 cm. Condition : Perfect with just some very minute glaze-fritting to the rim ( please look at the fifth enlargement ).

Antique Chinese bronze gu vase. A bronze wine vessel (gu), late Shang dynasty, 12th-11th century BC, with two pieces that separate in the middle, trumpet neck, and archaic taotie style designs along the body. Beautiful patina with crack in rim.
Most likely produced in the Ming Dynasty.

Antique Chinese eggshell porcelain bowl with black enamel lingzhi mushroom design along the inner and outer rim, and an incredibly charming black enamel dragon with flowers on the inside center. The outside edge is decorated with a bright enamel scene of eight immortals with scholar's objects. The foot bears a Qian Long mark.

Statue of a taoist dignitary, in formal attire, standing on an elevated hexagonal base on which a relief representing a reclining animal is carved. Two votive boxes at the back, both with missing lid. China, Ming Dynasty period. The statue is mounted on a stand. height (without stand): 31,5 cm. A few missing parts at the lower side of the base and at the back of the head, with no real damage to the general aspect of the statue, otherwise very good condition.
Antique Japanese bronze Shakudo (mixture of Gold and Copper) menuki of a fu dog with signature engraved on its backside. Menuki are one of many components to a Japanese sword, mounted as an ornament on the tsuka (handle). They are believed by some to secure the swordsman's grip.
