A finely potted Zadou was in nice form.
Well glazed in golden tint, the ware obtained the time-enduring characteristics by immensely spread crackles, the iridescent effect reflected inside the body, the spiral-like scars left at the bottom (they were caused by the potter when they moved the vessel from the mill by a wire.) and the old-looking surface.
It was kept in perfect condition except some time-caused frets on the mouth rim...

Chinese jade carving in the form of a tripod censer. The lid and handles contain superb intricate carvings of scrolled leaf like patterns with flower buds set in between the scrolled leaves.

Superbly and detailed antique agate carving in the form of a gourd with leaves, smaller gourds, and a bat. In East Asia the gourd is considered an auspicious plant and in China the bat is synonymous to the word fortune in Chinese. Hence, the motif is often seen in various works of art. Superior quality wooden Opium Pipe with Jade end and mouthpiece. 19th Century, China. Paktong, copper and brass saddle depicting bats and finely inlaid with various cabochons (colors are green, orange, red, gray and blue). A nice stoneware original bowl which is clearly marked.
