Pair of Chinese antique carved chairs with dragons, carved of very heavy hard wood with beautiful grain and medium brown finish, curved arms with dragon arm rests, back splat with dragon in swirling clouds, each chair has 4 dragon claws for feet, apron is carved grapes and vines, each chair has 10 dragons, made for export, circa 1900. Antique Chinese fine and extremely ornate carved altar cabinet with mother of pearl inlay, pierced carved with dragons in swirling clouds, center panel with family of three fu-dogs, claw feet, mother of pearl scenes of figures, flowers and buddhist symbols, bone carved details, sides carved with flowers in vases, hardwood, 18th/ 19th century. Total size: 43" high (40 1/4" high to table top) x 52 1/2" wide x 20 1/2" deep (18" deep table top).

Antique Chinese beautifully carved large bench, back rest and arm rests are carved with scenes of fu-dogs and pups, panel across the bottom is carved with scene of deer and cranes, made mostly entirely of huanghuali wood with another dark hardwood, 19th century. Size: 38 1/2" high x 67 3/4" long x 29 1/2" deep.

Beautifully carved homu altar table inlaid with jade. The table has leaves carved into it. The inlaid jade is shaped like peaches. Circa 1900. It measures 34" tall 18" deep 59" long.

Antique Chinese scholar's desk in 3 sections. The top section has 3 drawers in a horizontal row. Each of the bottom sections (that the top rests on) has 2 drawers and a compartment on the bottom enclosed with an open lattice work on all sides. Made of jumu (elm) wood. Hardware is made of brass.

Antique Chinese large cabinet. Beautifully lacquered with scenes of birds and flowers in gold on a red lacquer ground. Large doors open to reveal a compartment with two shelves. The top shelf has two small built in drawers. The sides of the cabinet are lacquered black. Dates from the 18th century. Size: 70 1/4" high x 44" wide x 20 1/4" deep.

A large antique Chinese altar table made from Jumu wood. The front of the altar table contains intricate geometrical patterns, images of birds, flowers, and scrolling vine carvings. Interestingly, the top of the table contains repairs where the restorer created patterns of fish and pineapples to fill in holes on the surface of the table. Age: 19th century. Antique Chinese beautifully carved altar cabinet, made of jumu wood, flanged top, the top portion has four drawers carved with flowers, the middle portion has two large compartments opened by four drawers on dowel hinges and carved with lions and flowers, the bottom portion has four drawers with no carving, late 19th century. Size: 37" high x 76 3/4" wide x 19 1/4" deep.

Set of fittings in cast and hammered bronze, suitable for 2 Chinese cabinets with one door or for a large cabinet with double doors. All the elements are decorated with chisel-engraved dragons. A padlock is part of the lot. Hand-threaded rods and nuts allow the installation of fittings on the furniture. RARE pair of miniature red lacquered elm wood Chinese scholar's cabinets. Designed as a “mirror image” pair, each cabinet has one side panel which is plain while the opposing side panel is decorated with floral carvings. These decorative cabinets also served a utilitarian purpose for the scholar who would use them to store items such as seals, wrist and brush rests, water droppers, scroll weights, etc. The doors feature subtle gold highlights...
