An attractive gouache Indo-Persian Miniature
depicting important leaders in battle scenes with watchful warriors, an elephant and several horses. Very fine painting with intricate details of individuals in combat and nature. Good condition and nice colors. Size: 23 cm. x 15 cm.
A fine carved and painted marble sculpture of the Hindu deity Ganesha, the elephant-headed god. He is holding his war axe in one hand, an elephant goad, ankusha, in another. A further holds a rosary and the last holds a sweetmeat. A hooded cobra supports his trunk and a large rat nibbles his foot. From northern India, mid 19th century.

Small statue of Buddha sitting on a double lotus throne, his hands in "bhumisparsa mudra". Copper, with traces of the original silvering in the recesses. Tibet, 18th century. Height: 2 3/16" (5,6 cm). Erosion, otherwise good condition. NOTE: this type of statue was carefully kept in a small portable altar by a Tibetan Bhuddist devotee.
Antique copper ritual crown, worn during ceremonies by a Vajracarya (Master of the thunderbolt), a high Buddhist priest. The crown is decorated by eight gilt copper Buddhist symbols and gilt copper figures of the 5 Dhyani Buddhas: Vairochana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha and Amogaghasiddhi. On top of the crown: a half vajra with 5 prongs. In good condition. Height 27 cm. Diameter 17 cm. Tibet, pre 1800.
The White Tara has a beautiful serene expression. The statue is decorated with small red coral and turquoise pieces. The bronze is of very good quality. 32 cm. high and 19 cm. wide. The bottom is closed. The casting attests of great craftsmanship.
A rare antique fire gilt bronze statue of two elephant-headed deities in embrace. Kangiten (god of Bliss) is associated with esoteric, Tantric Buddhism, like the Shingon school in Japan. The female wears a crown, associated with Avalokiteshvara or Guanyin and rests her feet on the male's feet. Kangiten symbolizes the unity of opposites, conjugal harmony and long life. This marvelous and rare statue is in excellent condition...

Sutra book cover carved all over its surface with, in the center, a Bhaisajyaguru Buddha ("The Master of Healing") sitting on a lotus throne in a niche, and Tibetan characters on the rest of the surface. On one side, a monster head surrounded with floral designs is carved. Wood with fine dark-brown glossy patina and remnants of red pigments. Tibet, 15th century. Length: 53.5 cm.
