Vietnamese 13th -14th Century Underglazed Stoneware Bowl

This stoneware bowl was made during the 13th - 14th century. It is relatively "heavily-potted", has a flared rim and has been decorated in underglaze iron-brown  with floral and scrolling patterns. Good circa 19th CE bronze Buddha from the Shan people in Burma. I found this in Mae Sai, along the Thai/Burmese border in 1998. The style is rather quirky but the face is typically Shan with Burmese gold and black lacquer. There are a few chips to the lacquer otherwise perfect condition. H: 14.7cm/5.9in and W: 5.7cm/2.3in.
