An ancient Chinese TANG DYNASTY (618-907 AD) bronze tripod wine-warming vessel, Jiao Dou -Diao-Dau, Jiaodou.
This antique wine vessel features a deep, rounded body that rests on three curved, tapered legs. The rim is adorned with two handles - a curved handle shaped like the mythical head of the Jiezi bird and a cusped flat handle. The center of the vessel has a spout for pouring wine...
This is a signed 8" Satusma vase in the form of a bucket. It is decorated quite nicely with hand painted landsacpes and birds.
Condition: Excellent, no chips, cracks, or repairs.
18th Century Japanese Netsuke depicting Hotei, one of the Seven Gods of Fortune, the God of Contentment and Happiness, seated on his treasure sack. Incredibly large chimney himotoshi. Very rich two-tone patina. Excellent tactile qualities. Unsigned. Netsuke measures 1.32 inches (3.4cm) wide, and 1.44 inches (3.6cm) tall.
Found in the Philippines.

Antique Chinese large bitong or brush pot carved of one piece of huanghuali wood and inlaid with a scene of birds on a blossoming branch and a poem. Inlaid materials include bone, stone, lacquer and shell. The poem translates as: "Birds flying in a line, the tree is blooming, the blooming flower is falling to the ground, the spring mountain, one group of birds fly over the valley, sound makes a lonely sound"...
A choice example of a of a large Wadj Sceptre in brown hardstone, with the stone aiming to imitate rolled papyrus.
The scroll is widest at the top, where there is a neck below the faux loop for suspension. The base tapers into a softened point. Such an amulet would have been for ritual buriel.
Size: c. 32 mm.
Condition: good very fine and intact.
