A very decorative and large antique Hall Lantern, with a lotus in the base since it was meant to hang high, and a crown at the top, Northern European, 18th. century.

A lantern as elaborate and large as this would have adorned a high ceiling hall in a big mansion or estate. The lantern was made of brass and bell-metal and has a hinge at the front so it could be opened for change of candles.

A lovely very early and seldomly encountered German brass bucket with handle, dated and initialized to 1714!

The fine bucket hammered in repousee with some wonderful high relief depictions of leafs and cluster of grapes in the baroque manor. On the front a medallion with an inscription, which reads, GHENDT ANNO 1714. The bucket with an implement for a missing lid on the back. Typical wear and soldering during the time of use.

A heavy bronze not for table use, fine details cast decoration, probably Flemish, c. 1550!

The early piece of bronze art is decorated with what looks like saints (old bearded men) on the sides and a framed band of angels with spread wings among floral decor nearer the top.

SizE: 17 cm. tall and 14 cm. wide. Weight: 2 kilograms.

Condition: F-VF for the very early type. A stress crack from use and a few chips to the rim...
Very early iron breastplate with existing screw and rivets, European, around 1st. half of 16th. century.

Attractive and quite heavy with fine patina. Authentic piece of early European armor.

Antique Japanese pair of jingasa, hats worn by samurai or foot soldiers. Lacquered black and marked with the mon (family crest) of the Ogasawara clan. The Ogasawara were descended from Seiwa Genji. They acted as shugo, governing Shinamo Provence during the Sengoku Period (1185-1600). This pair of hats dates to the Edo Period (1608-1867) when the Ogasawara were daimyo (feudal lords) of territories on Kyushu.

An antique Japanese small Kimono Tansu chest made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cyrptomeria) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware including the Hirute style handles. Four drawers of varying sizes and a hinged door that secured 2 small drawers where valuables were kept. This would make a great side chest or a compact dresser for a small bedroom.

Exquisite antique 18th -19th century Turkish Ottoman Islamic large Yatagan – Yataghan sword with a characteristic ear-shaped hilt.

The grip scales feature gilt copper mounts adorned in a typical Balkan filigree work design (soldered twisted wire and shaped knobs) and are set with seven large, fluted almond-shaped natural corals.

A finely crafted, single-edged steel blade is cut with two narrow fullers on each face and slender grooves on the spine...

A rare stoneware pitcher with salt glaze. Full-bellied shape with wide conical neck and flat handle. The base is festooned with “thumb” marks. The body is decorated with three medallions depicting a woman. A type called Trichterhalskrug in German. This stoneware pitcher was made in the Siegburg region in the 15th/16th century. It is covered with a fine salt glaze.
