Description: A lovely celadon Longquan jarlet was excavated intact. By an interesting lotus-leaf cover, the small pot was applied on the surface with dark olive-green glaze. In a perfect condition except one minor imperfection of shrinking-glaze on the body, some foggy-look condition was obvious in the glaze. It was a characteristic for excavation pieces. Firing-red tint was obviously revealed at the body clay. The jarlet was in adequate size which would be fine for caressing in your palms...

By an elegant elm bowl’s shape, the pot was applied on the surface with black slip when bluish white splashes were decorated intriguingly on top across the mouth rim.
Unglazed at the bottom, the foot ring was flat and was revealed with the body clay which was in dark brown tint.

A dramatic piece of jewelry circa 1960 is this wonderful 18Kt yellow gold broach depicting a flower with movable petals. It can be worn with the petals closed or in the open position. When the petals open they reveal 16 moving stamens inside the flower and each stamen stem is set with a 2.5 millimeter natural round ruby. The inside of the petals are decorated by blue enameled stripes. The length of the broach is 2 1/2” and the width with the flower open is 1 1/4”.

An unusual pair of 14Kt pink gold and agate intaglio cuff links with Masonic symbols. The cuff links date back circa 1920’s. The backs are curved and each back ends with an oval button. The measurement of the intaglio is approximately 14 X 23 millimeters, and the outside of the cuff links measure 17.5 X 28 millimeters.

A pottery jar glazed with a green lead glaze. Half of it is still green while the other half has oxidized to a silvery iridescent color. The variance in color is due to how the piece was buried and the effect of moisture getting under the surface of the glaze and "lifting" it to give it the pearl-like sheen. Wild roses blossom on the rich tea green sides of this cloisonné vase by the Ando studio enclosed in a custom silk lined padded wooden box with a separate compartment for the rose wood stand (included).
