Hagen-Renaker Owl with applied orange and black eyes, I believe this is model A065. Owl is wonderfully detailed with beak and "moustache". Painted tawny brown, with black stripes on the back, stipling on the back simulates feather texture. Owl measures 7 1/4 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 4 inches deep. No cracks, chips or repairs. Does have some surface dirt, I did not wash him for fear of damaging his label. Marked only with black and gold foil label on back.

Description: A fine jade pendant was carved in a shape of a gourd enwind with vines, leaves, stalks and plums. By the excellent quality of a Hou-Tien jade which was in slight greenish tint and had a lovely transparent look, the pebble was maneuvered skillfully depicting the full gourd with twisted leaves, tendrils, blossoming flowers and the strong stems. A detailed work of a jade piece with such a fine quality was so sweet to hold on...

A lot of flash! This brooch measures 4 1/4 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide. Large, prong-set square and rectangular red unfoiled stones, with clear round rhinestones single and pave set, in a rhodium plated setting. The pin is strong and locks securely. Pin marked with a single script 'E' (for Eisenberg?) on the back. All stones are clear but a couple of the larger stones do have scratches.

A beautiful and subtlety carved jade of Quanyin in a standing position holding her prayer beads.She is strung with a bead to be worn as a pendant. Size: L. 6cm. W. 1.8cm. Condition. No repairs or chips.

Description: A pair of jade plates were in transparent light green tint. By a shallow and flat foot ring, the plates were decently decorated on the surface with gilding motifs of leafy flowers, fruits, bamboos and pine trees. Carved in a light way, the vibrant plants were finely rendered before gold pigment was filled in to enlighten the whole picture against the celadon jade ground. A superb design of the picture can be noticed by the sophisticated composition...

Description: A bronze paper weight was joyfully in a subject that most welcomed by Chinese people. "Si Xi" Four Joys- Fu (wellbeing), Lu (prosperity), So (longevity), Si (joys) were symbolized by four laughing boys. Intriguingly designed by traditional craftsman, only two boys instead of four were in the combination. A kind of delusion would add some fun for the literati in their boring study room. Actually the puzzler can be a fine stationery which was in the practical use...

Blue & White dish with everted rim and a straight foot. Decorated in underglaze cobalt-blue with a bird, within a pair of double lines in the central medallion, with a continuous floral scroll on the cavetto. On the exterior with Lotus panels. Stoneware body with a transparent glaze. The mouth rim and foot rim unglazed and the base painted with a chocolate-brown iron wash. 15th century. Condition:Excellent no damage or restoration. Diameter: 24 cm.

A nice small celadon jar Ribbed-Potiche, covered. Yuan Dynasti 13th-14th century Long Quan ware. Condition is very good, repaired on a small chips on the rim, cover missing. High: 8.5 cm Width=7cm.

Description: A unique gilt bronze archer's ring was skillfully hammered in double decks. The main portion on the outer surface was casted with two types of Chinese archaic words Sou (Long Life)in open work and surrounding the ring when chased dots were decorated. On the upper and lower portions, two bands of key-fret patterns were carved neatly for framing the words...

Qing dynasty 18th century Ge type a dish.This beautiful dish has "iron wire" crackle which is combination of large dark crackle and small yellow crackle covered with celadon green glaze. Very good condition no crack, has a very small chip at the rim, no restoration. size : 26.5 cm diameter

For over 1000 years the Chinese have used Bamboo Shoots for the art of divination, forecasting the future. The shoot are tossed on a table or to the ground. The landing position of the shoots is the determining factor. This pair of divination shoots is over 200 years old.
