Rare child-sized mannequin from France; circa 1920's or earlier. Marked "26" on the front; hand-sewn linen covered body has some minor staining; overall a wonderful decorative piece. Approximately 44" tall on stand (can extend up). Body is 22" long, waist is 23-1/2" around, bust 26", hips 29". Very charming dress form!

Koma Inu Shrine guardians decorate this unusually vivid Ako carpet dating from the early 20th century. The color combination is quite striking, especially when held up to the more standard subdued works typical of Ako. It is 95 x 195 cm (37-1/2 x 77 inches) and is in stunning condition. We found this wrapped in paper in the attic of a Kyoto home which had been sealed off during renovations in the 1950s...

Handsome & rare this hand wrought 980 sterling buckle was designed & signed c. 1930's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-1967). Made in two sizes, this is the largest. Weighing 37 grams the buckle measures 2" X 2 1/8" & will accommodate up to a 1 1/4" strap. The high 980 grade silver provides an exceptional silky texture to the design. The original tool marks can be seen on the back along with WS TAXCO 980 hallmarks...
This dramatic ring makes a statement with the heavy 14Kt gold setting that holds a bezel set 11X13 millimeter oval faceted Aquamarine as a center stone accented on either side by 6 etoile set diamonds. The approximate weight of the Aquamarine is 6Ct and the total weight of all diamonds is approximately 0.36Ct. The ring is a size 6 (can be sized) and it weighs is 15.1 grams.

The wearable length is 17" and can be adjusted down to 15" if desired. The necklace weighs 46 grams & is in beautiful condition with a warm, aged patina. Patania's FP STERLING hallmarks are found on the back of the necklace.

A superb example of the mastery of Bizen Saiku-mono sculptures by Nishimura Shunko dating to the pre-war era. The musculature and bone structure of the creature is clearly visible, and it wears a cloak of ash glaze like fur, the tail actually covered in dry “goma” textured ash, and the lower extremities showing a fine assortment of Hi-iro flame colors on the raw clay. Stylistically there appears to be some influence of the pottery technique of Okinawan Shisa (lions)...
