Rare Penti Sarpaneva 830 silver ring this is a stunning piece. Multi-layered and very impressive it is topped by a "lace" type flat-top pyramid and has excellent patina. The ring is currently a sz 6.5 but it's adjustable due to its open shank. Its face measures 1 3/8" square and it will rise approx. 7/16" off the finger when worn. It weighs 18.2 grams and is fully signed as shown, dating in 1972.

A set of 12 uniquely crafted masks of devils dating from the Meiji period enclosed in a period custom made kiri-wood box titled Kodai-men Hina-gata Juni-ko (12 miniature ancient masks). They are created from clay covered in gofun and mineral pigments with inset eyes of glass and ivory teeth and horns. Each mask is roughly 9 x 8 x 5 cm (3-1/2 x 3-1/4 x 2 inches). There are some minor losses to the coloration but otherwise all are in fine condition...

Japanese limited edition sosaku hanga “kappa-ban” (stencil print) by Yoshitoshi Mori (1898-1992) titled “Goro in the Rain” (“Ame no Goro”) dated 1980. This boldly colorful kabuki theater image features an actor portraying Soga Goro, one of two historic samurai brothers who avenge the death of their father. In this image, Soga Goro is dressed in fine clothing and holds an umbrella though no rain is evident. He is apparently travelling to the pleasure quarter to visit a courtesan...

A Longquan celadon dish, decorated in the center with an impressively of twin fish dish and covered overall with crackled green glaze. PERIOD : Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368 AD) MEASUREMENTS:12 cm wide. CONDITION: no chips, cracks or hairlines and free from restoration.

Vase with two lugs covered by qingbai glazed to the foot ; unglazed base . PERIOD : Song Dynasty 960-1279 AD. MEASUREMENTS: 11 cm height. CONDITION: very good, firing crack to the body and a hairline to the inner of the neck.

Striking example of the famous sterling, suede and leather "X" belt with dots designed (1940's) by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar(1905-86). Currently measuring 2 1/4" Wide by 26" Long. Each end has an additional 1 3/4 inches if a longer length is desired. The dots are fixed in place but the silver X's slide on the suede and leather strap. The artist Georgia O'Keeffe is pictured wearing this belt on p. 108 of SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill...

A boy rides the back of an Ox through a marsh, he happy and dry and the beast happy in the cool water. One can also be reminded of the Zen tales of the Ox-herd, and connotations of enlightenment. Crackle porcelain yuhuchun vase part decorated with floral sprays on the body. Glazed base. Ming Dynasty, late 16th Century. Height = 15.5 cm Condition : small restoration to the rim, other is very good condition.

A rare small bird figurine covered with brown glaze to the foot. Unglaze base. Yue ware. Diamater = 6 cm, Height=4 cm Condition : excellent, no chips, hairlines, cracks and free from restorations.

Charger covered with green celadon glaze and decorated with animal on the center and floral on the cavetto. PERIOD : late Ming (1566-1643 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 36.5 cm wide. CONDITION: excellent, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations.

A finely blue & white dish with Phoenix on the center, and decorated with Emblems and continuous floral spray on the interior and exterior. PERIOD : Late Ming (1573-1619 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 19.5 cm CONDITION: very good, a firing crack, no chips or hairlines and free from restorations. Good sound when tapping with finger tips.
