This is a spectacular sterling and enamel necklace, bracelet and matching screwback earrings set by Margot De Taxco. The colors are beautiful and the design outstanding. The necklace measures 15" end to end and is 7/8" wide at the center section. The bracelet measures 6 1/2" end to end and is 1 1/4" wide. The earrings hang 1 5/8" long. There is no missing enamel and all pieces have the Margot hallmarks and numbers. An absolutely outstanding and important Margot enamel parure.

A fantastic large tsubo vase by ceramic artist Teramoto Mamoru (1949-present) enclosed in the original signed wooden box. In spite of its size (almost 15 inches (37cm) tall), it is surprisingly light, and the colors are phenomenal. The slightly grooved surface is scored with primitive lines arching upward, filled with slip before firing. The artists signature is on the base of the piece, which is about 15 years old...

In 1949, William Spratling signed a contract with Conquistador, a large silver factory in Mexico, to provide designs that were to be manufactured and sold by this company. I believe this large, stunning star shaped pendant to be one of these pieces. A group of three clambering turtles in fine detail dating from the opening of the 20th century (later Meiji) stamped on the base Keishin and enclosed in a period wooden box. The group is roughly 8 inches (20 cm) long, 3 inches (7.5 cm) tall and in fine condition but for one old chipped toe on the back foot of the largest turtle (see close-up).
