I found this delightful tin box at an antique show in Reims, in the Champagne region of France. Circa 1920's, children used a box like this one to take their "gouter" or snack, to school. On the top there is an adorable image of a cat & a child running from a mischievous dog, and a small mouse appears on the side. Other than minor paint touch-ups to the child's leg (see photos) this box is in good shape. It measures approx 7" long x 3-1/2" wide x 2-3/4" high (5-1/2" to top of handle).

This sweet little metal box used to contain some kind of candied fruit called "Gelypear". The ingredients listed are pears, apples & colored sugar. There is an adorable picture of a boy on the top & the sides are decorated with crests & griffins. In good condition with only minor areas of wear & a small spot of rust inside one corner. Nothing to detract from the charm of this little tin. Measures approx 6-1/2" x 4-1/4" x 2-1/4" deep.

Art Deco Floral Fan Etched Green Glass Drop Pendant Lalique like Lavalier Rhodium or Silver finished Necklace with 20 enameled or painted long, channel set beads on a decorated chain that looks almost hand made. A German Bisque Grouping of a Courting Couple Perched on Rocks, on a Green and gilt Base. Dimensions 8.5" x 5.5" x 9" high. Late 19th century and in excellent condition. It is marked on the base, but it is not identifiable.
This sleek and simple Maya purse is made of resin with a pattern simulating python skin. Maya frequently uses animal or plant textures in her designs and this wonderful purse is a good example of that. Purse and detachable chain are adorned with semi-precious stones as are most all of Maya's resin bags. Antiqued metal resembling copper frame the bag. Measurements are 5" by 5" with a depth front to back of 2 1/2". The chain is 45" end to end.

This delightful wooden box contains 24 six-sided alphabet cubes with letters, numbers & adorable pictures with French vocabulary words. Circa 1920's-30's, there is an artist's mark on the cover: J Roux. This set is in good to fair condition - the wooden box has seen better days, the clasp is missing & the decoration has worn off some of the blocks but nothing to detract from the charm of this educational toy. Box measures 11" x 7-3/4"x 2". Cubes measure 1-1/2".
The prong set rhinestones that create this Dorothy Bauer brooch are brilliant! The basket handle swivels and can be used as a prop to display the basket as part of a collection. The basket is rounded and the brooch is chunky. 2 1/2" by 2", 3/8" front to back.
Feisty and fun! Dorothy Bauer calls this critter a salamander, but he really be a fearsome dragon in disguise? Whichever, he is gorgeous. The pronged rhinestones present an unusual color combination that is very dramatic. He's a big guy,5 5/8" by 2 3/4" and his body and head are chunky. Bauer cartouche on the back, and two pin attachments to hold him in place.

A very rare and magnificent sterling and carved lapis pin by Mary Gage, American Arts & Crafts period c. 1930. The frame is a foliate motif encircling the oval carved lapis which is held in place by bead tipped silver wire prongs. This is a huge brooch measuring 3" by 2 1/4" and is solid and bold at 51 grams. A great coat or blazer pin that is sure to make a statement.It is in beautiful original condition and signed MARY GAGE STERLING. A very important piece from this artist.
This adorable wooden pull-toy circa 1930's features two painted wood elephants playing ball over a fence. Their trucks lift up & down when a lever underneath moves - unfortunately just pulling the toy does not make them move anymore. Normal wear from age & use, the striped celluloid ball between them is cracked has a hole on one side. Still quite a charmer!

A rare, amazing sterling and azur-malachite pin c. 1940 by William Spratling. Whichever way you turn this pin, there is an owl looking at you. The stones are gorgeous and this pin is large measuring 2 7/8" by 2 1/2". It weighs 60 grams and is in beautiful original condition. A magnificent and seldom found set of Ao or Blue-Bizen Tokkuri Sake decanters dating from the Edo period enclosed in an ancient kiri-wood box. The hand-turned pieces are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The undecorated clay of each pinched vessel is an unusual shade of blue/gray, thus the name. Each piece measures roughly 6 inches (15 cm) tall. An exceptional and highly sought after addition to a collection of Japanese ceramics.
Spectacular sterling cuff with large blue oval mabe pearl wrapped in silver wire, hand wrought by American studio artist Francisco Rebajes. C. 1950, this bracelet measures 5 1/4" around in the inside with a 1 1/4" opening. It is 1 1/2" wide in the front at the widest point. The pearl is 1" long. In beautiful original condition, this piece weighs 53 grams. Signed as shown in the photo. Work in silver with stones by Rebajes is a rare find and this piece is a knock out.
Classic Miriam Haskell. This medium length necklace has beautiful Baroque pearls and tiny gold colored metal spacers so typical of Haskell. Note the simple yet elegant flower head clasp.
