An incredible ivory netsuke of a Hannya devil mask with inlayed eyes. The detail in the Faust like features is absolutely superb. In this case I will let the photographs speak for us. Although not contemporary, this Netsuke dates from the mid 20th century. Due to certain features, we believe it was made in China prior to or during World War II, during Japans occupation (1932-1945). Only one like this. c. 1925 Acid Etched Amber Glass, often referred to Lalique like because of its fine design, Czech Fire Polished faceted black tear drops and Signed Sterling was used to create this heirloom piece. Simple design applications allow these etched pieces to nearly stand on their own. Would have been listed in "Estate Jewelry" were it not for the new sterling fancy paper clip chain (17.5"). An exquisite sterling collar type necklace by Reveriano Castillo, c.1950. Castillo apprenticed with William Spratling and Hector Aguilar and opened his own shop in 1952. His talent is evident in this necklace. A strong design, this piece measures 15 1/4" end to end and is 1 7/8" wide. The push in clasp is tight.
