A CHINESE EXPORT RETICULATED PLATE, QIANLONG, 18THC.

A very attractive blue & white porcelain plate with a wide pierced rim decorated with flowers and the odd butterfly. The centre of the plate carefully painted with a posy of flowers. The plate has a distinct ‘orange peel’ surface to the glaze. Made specifically for export to the West during the Qianlong period, circa 1780.

A GOOD PORCELAIN VASE BY MAKUZU KOZAN, MEIJI.

A fine quality lantern shape porcelain vase beautifully decorated with pairs of fishes against a swirling blue ground. Within the foot-rim can be found the mark “Makuzu Kozan sei” in underglaze blue.

Approximately 10.7/8 inches (27.6cm) high. The vase is in perfect condition but the camera picks up some light wear from normal use. The very light scratches on the body of the lower red fish cannot be seen in normal viewing...
