This is a beautiful second half of the 19th century Desk made from solid oak during the Renaissance Revival period. This lovely patinaed piece consists of a rectangular gadrooned top sitting upon an intricately sculpted belt boasting a magnificent embellishment and providing a pair of drawers, all standing on very nice barley twist legs connected to each other by a matching H-shaped stretcher. Note several scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Circa date 1870-1880...

CARTIER sterling silver and enamel egg shaped hinged trinket box. This adorable egg measures approx. 1 3/4" x 1 1/4”. The outside of the egg has a dark blue enamel. The inside rim of the egg is stamped Cartier Sterling 925 Italy. It is in excellent pre-owned condition. The clasp works and there are no chips or cracks in the enamel. The sterling could use a good polishing which I will leave up to the buyer. Weight is 34.8 grams.

A fine rendition of a plum by Tanaka (Zuitai) Ryurei (commonly known as Ryudojin, 1740-1804)). Ink on paper, it has been fully remounted in a silk frame with wooden rollers reflecting the original style. The scroll is 12-1/2 x 70 inches (31.5 x 178 cm).
Ryudojin was born in Owari, near modern day Nagoya. He is referred to also as Ryurei Zuitai and or Ryudo Reizui or simply Ryurei. Born into the Tanaka family, he was sent to the priesthood at Reigenji at the age of 11...

A very interesting Shino chawan (tea bowl) dating from the Edo period (1615-1868).

The wide-shaped bowl, ideal for summer tea drinking, seems to have been made without a potter’s wheel, allowing a closer communion between the artist and its work, visible in its perfect asymmetry.
