Nicely rendered carvings were preserved in very good condition when darken patina was yielded on the surface.

A very old ghurra from early XXth to possibly XIX, the endless knot design is an usual design. it is one of the eight auspicious buddhist symbol. Similar design can also be seen on pieces of wood used to fix loads on donkeys or horses and called 'sati gunti". However the one presented here, has been initially designed to be used as a ghurra.
