millennia back. In Persia, before the age of cigar and cigarette, hookha was used for generations and generally they were made from clay.
The aristocrats and wealthy had the upper section of their hookha made from silver and the base was porcelain or crystal...

Pair coin silver serving spoons. Each with Fiddle and Shell pattern and faintly monogrammed "NP". Both marked "C" within six point star mark. Presumably American Federal period. Each overall length: 9 7/8", bowl length: 2 7/8". One weighs 1.6 oz (46 grams) and the other weighs 1.5 oz (42 grams) for a total of just over 3oz.

These hand hammered tumblers are 3-1/4" in height, made and marked by Jacob Grimminger of Gmund, Germany (established 1895). Being sterling rather than 800 silver, these cups were most likely made for export and they have an Arts and Crafts hammered finish consistent with cups of this period. They weigh from 86.8 to 92.6 grams. They are in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

Total weight, 43.5 standard, 39.6 Troy ounces. Several minor knocks; in very fine condition overall. Signs of a possible monogram or armorial, but well rubbed.
