A scarce antique period sterling silver filigree posey holder or tussie mussie c1900. Late Victorian or early Edwardian period posey holders, popularly known as tussie mussies in the UK, were used to hold floral bridal bouquets. This ornate but delicate looking 3" long example has a loop for the (now missing) chain which would have terminated in a heavy straight pin which went through the bottom section of the posey to keep it in place...

A wonderfully designed and executed late Victorian Art Nouveau candy bowl or dish with fine high relief decoration. This 6-3/8" x 5" bowl has floral designs on the edge with Nouveau maidens with flowers in their hair. It is stamped 925 with an obscured maker's mark and it weighs 86.2 grams...

Gorham Sterling Silver Creamer and Sugar, with the Date Mark for 1906. The Creamer is 2 3/4" high x 4 1/8" handle to spout. The Sugar is 3 1/4" high x 5 1/2" handle to handle. Their is s slight nick (almost invisible) on the back of the Sugar, with the monogram "CRH" on the front.

Gilt-bronze Buddha, China, Sino-Tibettan, Buddha in sitting position holding an object with right hand, late 19th century period, bears seal mark on the base. Size: Height of this fine item is 5 1/4 inches. Condition Report: Good condition.

Measuring 12 1/2", and finely cast in bronze, this figure represents a Faun or Satyr, one of the followers of Pan, and the original was discovered in the ruins of Pompeii in 1830. With good detail, and true to the original statue, this one has a dark patina, with verdigris visible around the head primarily, and some wear to the patina on the body. Of nineteenth century original, and most likely a Grand Tour souvenir.

Large oval serving bowl, measures 13" wide, 8 1/4" deep and 2 1/2" high, by the American silver company, Bailey Banks and Biddle. The firm was consolidated under this name in 1878, and this piece is from the early period of the company...

A Gorham Sterling Silver Tea Caddy from 1896. Made for J. E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia. It is 5" high by 4.5" wide, and weighs 7.0 Troy ounces. There is a monogram on the front, and the condition is excellent.

Pair of Knight's helmet sterling silver pepper casters by George Unite and Sons, Birmingham, 1881. These scarce pepper pots or shakers were created by the specialist silversmith firm of George Unite in 1881-1882. They are not weighted and are crafted in the form of a medieval knight's armored helmet with pierced and movable visor. Each pot is hallmarked on both the underside and on the outside of the base with a complete set of matching marks...

A massive Japanese 19thC bronze jardiniere or plant holder with raised or bas-relief detail. This handsome antique signed Japanese bronze work stands 13-1/2" tall and it measures 11-1/2" across the opening. This is a large example of a classic bowl design, and it has a nice patination (appears somewhat lightened in our photographs to show detail). It features perching and flying birds and floral branches, a decorated collar with bat designs (a sign of luck and prosperity) and incised decoration...

The pressed glass liner is 5" tall and the 11-1/4" tall stand has decorated feet and a floral arched handle and the matching tongs have claw feet. The lid of the cruet has a perching bird, and the stand is marked SILVERPLATED MADE IN CANADA on the underside rim...

A Derby Silver Company Art Nouveau floral bread or roll tray from the 1890s. This high quality, high relief 14 x 7-1/2" silver plated serving tray is quite deep to hold bread and it has what appears to be lily flowers. This company (1872-98) was later taken over by International Silver. It is stamped B DERBY SILVER Co. QUADRUPLE PLATE 1266 and it is in superb original condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

A Victorian Aesthetic silver plated hot water pot by Reed & Barton 1876. This 9-1/4" tall pot is stamped with the Reed & Barton mark, the 2764 pattern number and the patent date of Feb. 1, 1876. It has fine floral high relief feet and floral bands plus hand tooling and a pebbled finish on the top panel. It has a hinged lid with a tight spout cover and the finial is a basket with flowers and it would make a fine syrup pitcher...
