There are buckle bracelets and then, there are BUCKLE BRACELETS! And a spectacular Mexican Deco specimen of the latter I am proud to be presenting here. Honestly, however, all the aaahs and ooohs aside, this is one of the most glamorous mesh jewelry I have encountered even though its design elements are few and quite simple, if one thinks about it. Extra wide and finely woven, the sterling mesh is flexible and comfortably wraps around the wrist...

Margot de Taxco vintage design 5337 is elegant with heavy repousse that also boasts it's simplicity. When you find one of these so many are very short. This one is 16.5 inches wearable and well worth the money spent to be comfortable while wearing. The drop is 3in. across and 2 inches tall from highest and lowest point. Wear this one with anything casual or that little black dress. A true treasure, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

An exuberant sterling pin with a naturalistic design by Felipe Martinez who opened his workshop "Piedra Y Plata" in 1955. The highly polished, smooth amethyst flowers seem to be bursting out of the leaves which are going in all directions. This pin, c.1955, is featured on page 186 of the Morrill book MEXICAN SILVER, however, the pin in the book has green stones rather than amethyst. The pin measures 2 6/8" by 2 1/8" and is in beautiful original condition...

We find Fred Davis signed piece from time to time but this one is very special. Look at the underside of this treasure. You are seeing strong work marks from the hand making of this jewel. The silver is silky to touch. Huge stones are displayed with the center being 1.5in. tall. The two side stones are 1.25in. tall. Very comfortable feeling at approximately 17in. wearable length. The stones are lilac to dark purple along with natural striations that separate colors within...

Based on a Salvador Teran design, the bracelet at hand is a great match to the Taller Taxco necklace also currently available in my inventory (please look for item no 1229490). Pre-Colombian motifs with a mod twist in their interpretation make for a visually stimulating and definitely different piece...

From the same estate as the azur- malachite bracelet by Enrique Ledesma that I am offering, this bracelet is made up of 15 panels of faceted amethyst crystal fused in silver. This is the skill for which Ledesma is best known. His work of this nature is impeccable and unmatched by other Taxco artists. This fabulous bracelet measures 8" end to end and 1" wide. It is in excellent original condition with no chips or cracks to the stones. The safety chain will need to be reattached on one side...

This a beautiful armadillo necklace designed by Valentin Vidaurreta and produced by Manuel Altamirano. It was also produced by Hector Aguilar. The necklace is 16 1/2" end to end and 1 1/2" wide at the center rounded square. Circa 1945-50, it is in fine original condition. The black velvet appears to be original to the piece. Signed as shown. Altimirano also worked for Hector Aguilar at the Taller Borda. His pieces with his own hallmark are scarce and this necklace is exquisite.

Today we have a very rare, old pair of Matl, Matilde Poulat cufflinks that are with no damage. The coral has mellowed with age to an orange / red. The center stone is faceted amethyst and being very clear, high quality which Matilde Poulat used in her beginnings of Taller Matl. You can see sparkles reflecting from the facets but I can assure you they are not cracked just hard to photograph. Each coral stone is seated beautifully and firmly in their mountings...

Unadulterated commitment to minimalism - this is the statement this Antonio Pineda modernist bracelet makes. I have sold this specific design a couple of times in the past but its unpretentious beauty never fails to impress me. Wrought in the maestro's favorite .970 alloy, it has had a long, happy life and is now waiting for its next caretaker. It has a 6 3/4" inner circumference (clasped) with a width just shy of 1" wide and weighs a good 110.4 grams...

Demanding and difficult, onix negro (black onyx) is a technique by which the classic art of stone inlay is reversed; instead of setting stone within a silver frame, it is now silver shapes that are placed in a flat piece of black onyx. Devised by the Los Castillo at the beginning of the 1950s, onix negro was practiced by a few other maestros as well with results that are definitely different and can be quite impressive. I believe the bracelet presented here in a modernist interpretation of an an...
