I am offering a rare amethyst Antonio Pineda bracelet. It is trapezoidal in shape with straight barrels and no chips or cracks to the stones. The stones range from dark purple to some stones with lighter swirls. It is properly hallmarked as shown and displays a light patina. I have tried to show the bracelet in different light for the best viewing of all links. Pineda used 970 silver content for his work giving it a whiter look as it has a low alloy content...

Shown in the Gobi Stromberg book "Silver Seduction : The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda", this book-piece design is a superb bracelet from Antonio Pineda. It's an extremely difficult design to produce, and it is most definitely a statement piece.

Composed of nine curved "V" links, each is tipped with two bezel-set turquoise cabochons. It's an unusual piece, and one which is very seldom seen...

Offered on consignment, this mid-century Antonio Pineda bracelet is a spectacular showpiece which pulls out all the stops. Diamond shaped onyx stones and silver panels alternate in this geometric modernist design. It's a substantial luxurious piece which looks and feels fabulous on the wrist. A charming agate geode and sterling pendant and matching earrings by Scottsdale, Arizona Modernist artist Ray Graves(b.1921).He opened his shop "Gra-Wun" in 1959 and closed it in 2001. "Gra-Wun" is also the mark on his jewelry. The geode slices are vibrant colors of blue and green. The settings holding the geodes are all one piece and beautifully form the prongs. These clip back earrings measure 1" diameter and the pendant is a tad smaller at 7/8"...

Antonio Pineda cuffs don't surface very often and this specific design is even more difficult to find. An ode to the art of a-symmetry, the cuff is wrought in the maestro's favorite fine ,.970 alloy and quite substantial. The stone that adorns its widest end, rich in greens and blues, is agate, I think, but it might be a very special kind of turquoise as well. Warm patina, perfectly conveyed less-is-more attitude and Antonio's exquisite finishing are all present here to please the eye...

Based in Mexico City Plateria FarFan created some of the most impressive and well-made collar necklaces, many in the multi-row "mesh" style and others in puzzle “Cleopatra style” designs. The necklace presented here is one of the latter, a pretty handsome one at that and a favorite of mine for the comfortable, just-at-home way in lies around the neck. I consider myself most lucky because I have also the matching bracelet to it and even though the two will be listed separately, there is nothi...

A fabulous pair of sterling cuff links by New York Modernist Arthur King. King had a shop on Madison Avenue in New York City in the 1960's. Most of his pieces have caged stones and these appear to be quartz or rock crystal which is a delightful combination with the silver. Big and chunky, these measure 3/4" by 3/4" and are in fine original condition. They are signed King Sterling and are truly terrific.

Salvador Teran created this Mexican silver bracelet adorned with natural uncut emerald stones that spark green flashes with light. The silver is thick and it fits most with a 2.5 diameter. The width is 1 inch. Appropriately hallmarked as shown and with no damage. The patina is naturally dark. The dark spot in the center is the camera reflection. Mexican silver is silky soft to the hand and this example is no different. A definite candidate for collectors as well as rarely seen.

Based on the dramatic contrast of highly polished silver against dark, oxidized backgrounds, Sigi's jewelry is eye-catching without having to be burdensomely elaborate. The necklace at hand illustrates, I believe, my assertion in the best possible way. Gorgeous, a pleasure to wear and to behold, and a true Tasco (sic) modernist treasure. It measures just shy of 16" long (wearable) with the central mirrored part of it being 4" wide and 1" tall (at its tallest); the width of the chain itself is 5/...

The name of Plateria Cortes, a Taxco retail store is often found on jewelry signed by Enrique Ledesma and this is the case with the modernist sterling silver and green stone necklace at hand. This type of curved trapezoid links embellished with inlay is a signature design for the maestro yet here there are two sections of stone in each station which is a welcome variation that does not come up as often as the typical single segment. Predominantly green, the color of the azur-malachite is deep an...
