The House of DeLillo produced only the finest in quality and design. The jewelry was made to order for specific customers, many well known in theatrical and political circles. Robert Clark, chief designer for Miriam Haskell, left there to join forces with DeLillo in the late 1960's. This beautiful necklace was part of the DeLillo/Clark personal collection from which we purchased it. It's two level fringe is gold plated and presents an intricate design along with the pearls...

A really challenging piece to photograph - all those surfaces that curve and turn and face each other just won't behave! - yet equally impressive and inventive in its design, this bracelet is based on a creation by Antonio Pineda that seems quite difficult to find. Signed by an unidentified maker in our case, it has powerful presence, the "sharpness" of the links' pointy ends softened by the warm caramel and brown tones in the tortoise shell inlay...

A vintage 14Kt yellow gold 'Love' charm bracelet, with 5 gold charms suspended from a complex bracelet with circular and woven wirework links. The charms are variously set with seed pearls and amethyst and ruby gemstones. All but the largest charm are stamped 14K, one by Mendelsohn & Martinez, from Providence, RI. Size: 7.25 in. length. Weight: 58.5 grams. The largest square charm is gold but unmarked, with the saying 'I Love You.'

A great 14Kt white gold and diamond ring from the early Art Deco period. Combination of open work and geometric designs make this ring very unique. The diamond is a 0.22Ct brilliant cut diamond that has an H color and VS2 clarity. As our price busting efforts we lowered the price of this ring from $950 to $550.

This precious Victorian Etruscan bracelet dates from the latter half of the 19th century. The piece is made up of textured and domed 14 karat gold rounds connected by flexible joints with balls on each end, making each link circular with the suggestion of a square. The central link is larger than the rest and features a star, in the center of which is set an approximately 0.25 carat old miner diamond. A safety chain complements the hidden catch...

Ornate oval disk with six 1/2" round dangles to add more "dangle ability". This is impressive since these huge earrings measure 3" from the top of the clip to the bottom of the dangles. The width of the oval is 1 3/4".

Fabulous, rare, Antonio Pineda sterling and amethyst cuff bracelet. Incredible mid-century modern design and very unique construction with the middle row of amethysts hinged at each end and the entire row able to move up and down. This is a massive and bold piece measuring 1 1/2" wide in the front, tapering to 3/4" at the ends in the back. It is 5 1/4" in the inside with a 1 1/4" opening so for a 6 1/2" wrist. It weighs 143 grams and is in fine original condition...

Not a very prolific taller, ProSa is nevertheless a name that I look for and try to get their pieces for my inventory whenever possible. Their jewelry that I have seen are cast and usually very nicely defined and finished. And even though I wouldn't say that I associate them with big, in-your-face pieces, I was pleasantly surprised to find this delicate, romantic floral necklace bearing their name. Dating around 1930, this Mexican Deco Fred Davis necklace in a design that rarely comes up, is an early example of "mixed metals" jewelry. Combining repousse silver with copper wire and then bringing in ripe, saturated color with the amethyst cabs, the necklace is an ode to vineyards and aromatic red wine. Though the brooch of the parure appears in the third edition of Morrill's "Mexican Silver" (p. 28), the necklace is hard to find and I am thrilled to be presenting it here...

A great little 18Kt white gold openwork diamond ring is centered by an approximately 0.20Ct old-mine diamond. The center stone is flanked on either side by a smaller single cut diamond. The approximate total weight of all diamonds is 0.22Ct. The ring is a size 4 ¾ and can easily be sized.

A 10k yellow gold signet ring with no initials from the 1950s. This size 8-1/4 ring has never been engraved and the front measures 1/2 x 7/16". It weighs 3.5 grams, it is stamped 10K with a circular maker's mark and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a slight patina from use (which is exaggerated under our halogens)...

A beautifully detailed 14Kt yellow gold signet ring that probably dates back to the early 20th century. The sides of the ring are decorated by three-dimensional carvings, and the flat top has a brushed finish. It can be worn as is, or someone’s monogram can be added to the top.

Gorgeous early William Spratling 980 silver bracelet featured on page 43 of the Morrill book MEXICAN SILVER. It is in beautiful original condition and has not been cleaned so has a warm vintage patina.There are no dents to any of the silver balls. It measures 8" end to end and is 1" wide. The pin closure works well. Weighing 108 grams, it is hallmarked with the WS print mark circa 1939-40 according to the spratlingsilver.com website...

Wonderful Peruzzi, Florence Italian earrings dating in the Deco years, this set is wrought in 800 silver which was the standard for Italian jewelers until 1934. A heart-shaped set, it is adorned with floral and foliate motifs and has tiny little "mock bells" hanging off it. Beautifully made and early they measure just shy of 2" long by 7/8" wide and weigh 13.5 grams (for the set)...
