This lovely French nailed head French Club chair could be the model of what all the people trying to copy French Club chairs would want to use. It features the transitional style where the cushion was velvet that was prevalent in previous French seating. This chair has some age appropriate wear, a little repair here and there but the chair is is sound, good condition overall. It sits quite nicely...

Rambouillet is a city south of Paris where many International Peace treaties and negotiations have taken place since before World War One. A stunning European, probably French, sideboard/cabinet adorned with carved griffins, urns and rosettes in the Aesthetic Movement style. Circa 1880-1890s. Size: 56.5 inches length x 20 inches depth x 44.25 inches height. Solid oak with a reddish orange marble top ( a later replacement). There are two hidden frieze drawers with rosettes above a double door cabinet, carved with griffin handled urn motifs.
