Early American Chippendale tall chest, Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1760-1780. Size: 64 1/2 inches ht. x 45 3/8 inches wide x 23 1/2 inches deep. Figured walnut. This chest has three horizontally positioned top drawers above five finely graduated drawers, flanked with fluted quarter columns, and supported on ogee form bracket feet. Older replaced oval brass bail pulls. Excellent antique condition.

Though mainly of 18th century origin, this chest has experienced many alterations and repairs, including a 20th century plywood potty covering. A 'Chaise Longue' after a design by Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand - the LC-4 model. From the Basics Le Corbusier line by Palazzetti, introduced in 1981, with attached foil label. Black leather and chrome on a black metal frame. Originally designed in 1928; this chair is about 12 years old. Excellent condition. Now considered to be a classic modern design.

A stunning European, probably French, sideboard/cabinet adorned with carved griffins, urns and rosettes in the Aesthetic Movement style. Circa 1880-1890s. Size: 56.5 inches length x 20 inches depth x 44.25 inches height. Solid oak with a reddish orange marble top ( a later replacement). There are two hidden frieze drawers with rosettes above a double door cabinet, carved with griffin handled urn motifs.

A large country hutch table with round 56 inches diameter pine top, that hinges upright on an oak chair base with seat and turned legs. Age: 19th century. Table top height - 29 3/4 inches. Pegged construction with removable top secured by wooden dowels. It is rare to find one of these chair tables with such a large diameter and with no restrictive stretcher base; great overhang. Will seat 6-8 people with comfort. Excellent condition.

Rambouillet is a city south of Paris where many International Peace treaties and negotiations have taken place since before World War One. I can only imagine that Rollback beauties like these where used to take a break from time to time with a brandy and cigar. Gendarme of course refers to the French policemans hat which is the same as Napoleons classic chapeau. High in the center with a gentle slope that finishes in a crisp point at the corners. I was fortunate to snag this pair at a large outdoor show south of Paris. The competition is fierce at these hugs shows and most chairs have been bought up before I get a shot at them. There are many models that I pass for lack of style, materials used or overall condition...

This lovely French nailed head French Club chair could be the model of what all the people trying to copy French Club chairs would want to use. It features the transitional style where the cushion was velvet that was prevalent in previous French seating. This chair has some age appropriate wear, a little repair here and there but the chair is is sound, good condition overall. It sits quite nicely...
