Antique New York state Federal three-drawer work table or stand, in mahogany with curly maple drawer fronts and brass petal pulls. Circa 1820. Size: 29 inches high x 22 inches wide x 16 1/2 inches deep. The top drawer is fitted with a wooden writing surface and dividers for inkwells, and there is a lower shelf. Condition is very good.

Gendarme of course refers to the French policemans hat which is the same as Napoleons classic chapeau. High in the center with a gentle slope that finishes in a crisp point at the corners. I was fortunate to snag this pair at a large outdoor show south of Paris. The competition is fierce at these hugs shows and most chairs have been bought up before I get a shot at them. There are many models that I pass for lack of style, materials used or overall condition...

An Early American Queen Anne tiger maple highboy of a rare, small size. Circa 1760. New Hampshire origin. Size: 39 inches wide x 62.5 inches high x 21.5 inches deep. This two-part highboy is fashioned from strongly figured tiger maple, with pine secondary woods. The flat top upper chest features a dovetailed cornice molding and two drawers over three graduated drawers; the base with three drawers and supported on cabriole legs with pad feet...

Antique Napoleon III Neoclassical pier mirror. French. Age: 2nd half 19th century. Size: 72 inches ht. x 48 inches width. A stunning Neoclassical French gold leaf and gesso pier mirror with a palmette border and surmounted with a carved crest with cartouche and leaf and berry design. Excellent condition. Replaced glass.

This is a rare find! We just had to restore this amazing set of four matching Gendarme Club Chairs. Originally circa 1940's, these beauties deserved a second life. Recovered with our signature winter sheepskin, they offer a deep, full, comfortable seat. Hook a leg over one of these and you will fall in love. A large country hutch table with round 56 inches diameter pine top, that hinges upright on an oak chair base with seat and turned legs. Age: 19th century. Table top height - 29 3/4 inches. Pegged construction with removable top secured by wooden dowels. It is rare to find one of these chair tables with such a large diameter and with no restrictive stretcher base; great overhang. Will seat 6-8 people with comfort. Excellent condition.

Supporting a rectangular case of two graduated drawers, the case with deeply concave corners, the hinged top conforming to the case in shape. The top opening to a lined writing surface, also hinged, opening in turn with an easel support providing a canted work surface...
