Early American Queen Anne highboy. Coastal New Hampshire origin. Circa1760. A two part highboy in figured maple, with white pine secondary wood. The upper case with five long, graduated drawers over a lower case with two long drawers and an attractively shaped skirt and supported on four cabriole legs on pad feet. The exterior exhibits an old, mellow refinish and the brasses are original. No other repairs or restoration. Size: 75 1/4 inches ht. x 38 1/8 inches wide x 19 inches deep.

A New England Queen Anne highboy, circa 1750, in cherry, being a marriage of a period base with a period top. The proportions and color of the two components mesh very nicely, though the secondary woods differ, white pine versus chestnut. Found in a New Hampshire home. Refinished and with replaced brasses, otherwise in fine condition, without further restoration. Dimensions: 77 3/8" height x 38 1/2" width x 19 1/4" depth.
This lovely French nailed head French Club chair could be the model of what all the people trying to copy French Club chairs would want to use. It features the transitional style where the cushion was velvet that was prevalent in previous French seating. A Renaissance Revival library table in walnut with wonderful carved and pierced acanthus leaf decoration to either end support. The medial stretcher supports three beautifully proportioned turned and carved balusters, and a gadrooned frieze reveals two real and two faux drawers with oak interior, again with acanthus decorated wooden pulls.
