A fine rectangular filigree silver box with hinged lid, standing on four ball feet. Originating country may be India or Indonesia. No silvermark found. A figural painted wooden gun powder flask in the form of a Makara with a maiden holding a pot, protruding from its mouth. Missing stopper. Condition: lost stopper, paint with some wear. Dimension: c. 19 x 17 cm.

Finely crafted Mughal rock crystal-hilted Khangar dagger. The grip finely carved, with rolled pommel and gold-inlaid steel bolster. The single-edged blade forged of actively-patterned wootz damascus steel. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard. 19th century. Overall length approx 11 inches (27 cm).

Small Indian Hindu bronze group cast in one piece depicting Vishnu seated in lalitasana with his consort Lakshmi, holding a lotus bud. Condition: fine, few traces of usage. Dimension: 11.1 cm high.

Finely engraved small bronze altar of Vishnu with his consorts Shridevi and Bhudevi, cast in five parts. Virabhadra, incarnation of Shiva, is often depicted in solid bronze plaques. This one however is remarkably fine, with its delicate openwork. It dates from the 16th century, possibly earlier and was made in West India. It has a warm brown patina and appropriate age wear. There is a very old repair just above the small figure on the left. Height 26 cm (the sculpture), 32 cm including the stand.

Six different antique ceremonial spoons used during Hindu worship for offering holy water to deities, from Maharashtra. Made of brass or bronze, the largest spoon in "ganga-jumna" technique (brass and copper). Three with cobra, two with lotus bud and one with dancing Krishna final. One with short inscription. The detacheable central Tirthankara surrounded by other Tirthankaras, two elephants holding his princely parasol, his throne supported by two lions. On the back there is a lengthy inscription, holding the date 1674 in Samvat, which is 1617 in the Western calendar. The shrine is inlaid all over with silver. H. 28 cm, W. 19 cm. Condition: some old damage and an old repair to the thinly cast back of the stand. Otherwise in wonderful original condition.

This Mughal piece was made of a zinc alloy inlaid with flower patterns of silver and brass. A similar huqqa base in the book "Bidri Ware, inlaid metalwork from India" by Susan Stronge is dated in the first half of the 18th century. H. 18 cm. Diameter 16 cm. Very good condition with the inlay intact.
