Thin, double-edged blade engraved with patters similar to foliage, base with one blade per each side, sharpened and with the same decoration. Bone grip and scabbard (parts missing) engraved with figures, animals and floral motifs, metallic mounts decorated with animals and floral motifs. Band with suspension ring similar to those of kindjal.

Large bowl of deep rounded form, raised on a narrow foot with flared rim. The exterior chiselled and engraved, the neck with a band of nasta'liq inscription. Below a frieze of floral motifs and trilobed arches. Condition: traces of usage, rubbing to tinning. Dimension: diameter: 29.6 cm, 13.6 cm high, weight: 1.4 kg.

Measuring 6" in diameter and 2 3/8" high, this Nishapur polychromed bowl dates to the 9th to 11th centuries, and is buff ware ceramic with decoration in magenta, yellow and green. The central image features a peacock with elaborate tail, and the border around the edge is abstracted, with a resemblance to calligraphic writing.
